That is indeed a knice one, Ray; I don't recall seeing any knives from Denmark before.
Here is another one: Custom Nordic Puukko Hunting Knife with 4" Kustaa Lammi blade. Todd Marks: "I have been making and collecting Nordic knives now for over 10 years. Your blade was one of the last batches made from Mr. Lammi before he passed some years ago. I had it for quite some time and wanted to make this one special ...as a tribute to him. So I took my time and crafted it and it sat in the showcase for a few years. 2014 was when it was made."

I wouldn't say I collect Scandinavian knives, but after seeing some pictured in this thread, I'm half tempted to start! However, I have two Moraknivs: a Garberg and an Eldris. Thus far, I'm happy with both, though I haven't had a good chance to put them through their paces. Since they're well-made and very sharp, I expect they will be excellent performers.

First one: A Finnish Ilsakki Jarvenpaa Oy ceremonial 2 knife set called “The HARMA Knife”. Decorative brass pommels and finger guards. Mirror polished blades. Scabbard is made of leather and brass, w/the leather lacquered.

As an aside, anyone interested in Scandinavian culture should watch "Sami Blood" on either Amazon prime or Netflix. One of my favorite movies!
Scandinavian knives to make several appearances in the movie.

Here is another mora from Sweden, with a new razor sharp edge on it. It makes a great Hiking/trail knife. Lightweight, not super expensive and great steel!

That is beautiful! I have a knife from Denmark I was going to post. I don't see very many of them available, so I am always glad to see a new one posted.knife7knut wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 4:11 am Here is one of the nicest knives I have ever seen(from anywhere!)

Here is an old Helle Mora knife from Norway (or so it appears) that I cleaned up and I am going to make a simple leather sheath for it and put a clean sharp edge on it.

They also make a smaller version called the "Odin" that I would love to own... but now it has become very pricey....

Well, this is not a knife... but it is from Finland. These Fiskars are great little hand axes, very light weight and useful.

I don't know a thing about it but that knife/sheath is a dandy!
