WOW !!
jmh58, I love the look of the top knife. Don't think I have seen a "shield" done in that manner.
It would be killer on a shadow bone knife (no bolsters)

I really liked these bones and the varied color pallet so kudos to Case. Some real lookers IMHO and love them on a bare head TDrop.

Oh man, bones is where its at. I love the o0ld Rogers bone, strawberry bone, brown bone. That old green bone!!! I do like a lot of bone stag.The trend in new bones leaves me I guess, uninterested.

In some of the early dyed bone , the dye didn't have much staying power. I've had a Holley very similar to the Southington.
1. Lennox Whittler Germany
2.Southington

The Wester Bros. is faded more as shown on mark side , but still not richly dyed as seen on pile side.
3 & 4. Wester Bros.

This Ulster has similar jigging to the Southington and Holleys. Mark faded. Most of these are pre 1900 I believe.
5. & 6. Old Ulster
