Ebony scales?

You guys know if Imperial used Ebony wood on these? ::shrug:: It's a good looking knife. ::nod::

Is it wood for sure? Awfully smooth for wood on a knife that old, no nicks, marks, etc. Are you holding the knife or are they pics? Looks like composite in the pics. Hard to tell. ??? Mint condition?? J.O'.

Really look like some kind of composite to me. JMO. Not sure IMPERIAL did a lot of ebony, or on a TL-29. ::shrug:: J.O'.

I believe that's black delrin or some other plastic depending on the year. definitely not ebony. Those covers were pre-molded to fit the knife, hence the rounded cover pin and clip on shell construction type bolsters.

Tom, a.k.a. KGIG😁-- I have the identical knife, somewhere in my collection ::shrug:: .. it is most definitely derlin or hard plastic, seems to me it fealt more like plastic.. I'll see if I can dig it out.. quality knife, tho.. come to think of it, it might be a shell handled one.. not sure, can't remember for sure.. I'll find it..
