David, Will you have any of the books in your possession for sale? How would one get an autograph copy?

jw that is very flattering Sir. I'm new to this experience so I hadn't thought about autographs. Right now all sales are through Amazon and I only have a certain number of "author copies" for my family members. I'm sure that some time later I will have a supply of copies I can sell, but if you buy one and send it to me I will be more than happy to sign it and return it to you. Thank you. ::handshake::

Congratulations David! That’s a huge accomplishment. Here’s too much success and many sales.

I just wanted to take this time to thank all you for your kind words and support.
You guys will never know how much I brag on all of you to family and friends here in my area.
When I tell someone about AAPK I tell them that despite all the things that divide countries
and people we are a global network with members that share a common interest, a love of
knives and a goal of helping one another in our knowledge, skills and accomplishments.

Writing a book was always on my bucket list of things to do in my lifetime, but I just never
thought I would get it accomplished. Writing the book is one thing, but navigating by yourself
through all the formatting, editing and then deciding how you’re going to get it published and
into the hands of consumers can be very overwhelming.

These days it’s a lot simpler with Amazon and other publishing services like them. For me it
was getting past the fear of wondering how your book would be accepted, would anyone like
it or even buy it and can I handle any review criticisms. I finally had to just tell myself suck
it up mister and hit the submit button, then move on to my next project.

It’s a small book, but it’s a book with my name on it and I’m proud to have done it. I’m not
the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I hope I put some good info in it that will be useful to
those just getting started with their collection. For those of you that have or will order a copy
in the future I am very grateful to each one of you.

THANK YOU AAPK FRIENDS

David, I received Folding Knives in today's mail and spent some time with it. It is a very efficient presentation of what can be a complex subject. I wish I had your book when I first acquired an interest in knives. It would have brought some order to my initially chaotic approach to knives.

Containing lots of practical advice for the newbie, I think your book is just the ticket to pass on to anyone who is developing, or whom we would like to see develop, an interest in our hobby: spouse, children, grandchildren, friend or neighbor. It ought to get into libraries as well.

The hours of toil this book represents for you has resulted in a fine and highly useful production. Well done, David.

David, i would like to know about how long it took you to write this book. And did you make yourself put in a certain amount of time every day ?
It is one thing to think about writing a book but it takes a lot of self discipline to actually do it. I would like to know how you made this leap from thinking about it to actually sitting down and starting. And did you know how you would organize the information before you started or did this develop as you wrote ?
thanks, kj
