PEARLY HANDLES USA
There's been a lively discussion of pearl and silver knives on the "EUROPEAN AND OTHER FOREIGN" thread. Thought I'd get an all American production one going here. There was agreement on the love of pearl but the difficulty of finding and maintaining them due to their fragile nature. Post them all, perfect, cracked, chipped, who cares? They're still beautiful. Here's a few of mine. Any with a(*) have perfect handles but may have blade issues. Can't win!
Column 1: Top to bottom: EMPIRE with copper bolsters, HUMASON and BECKLEY*, NYK*, H & B*, ROBESON*, ULSTER KNIFE*
Column 2: DIAMOND EDGE, KEEN KUTTER, WARDS*, WILBERT, H & B #48 pattern*
Let's see yours. J.O'.

Re: PEARLY HANDLES USA
Thanks QUICK: Joining this site, (and the isolation of the COVID crap) has led me to refocus on it. I've always been addicted to knives since I was a little kid, and now I'm afraid I'm developing a new habit here, riding this site everyday! Non-knife folks see your collection and smile and walk away, but here are folks who have a deep sense of the beauty, history, and value of these examples of human ingenuity. Just look above at what KNIFENUT posted last night, the time ,energy, and dedication it takes to share that with everyone because he knows we all love and respect the hobby. If a post here lit him up to do that then that's makes us all happy.
Don't want to get too soggy here but it sure is fun and gratifying to me and I'm sure to you and all of us "knife nuts". Thanks again for your kind comment. , J.O'.

Re: PEARLY HANDLES USA
My collection is 99% Schrade USA made knives and I especially like their pearl-handled patterns. I usually have a Schrade 877 in my jeans watch-pocket. Since I've already taken lots of pics of them, here comes the flood.

Some rare Schrade items right there. Nice!
The last one from me for now. I'm really enjoying seeing other peoples pearl goodness!
Schrade 7OT by Jimmy Sabo. This has to be the most embellished knife in my Schrade collection. So. Much. Pearl. Engraving ain't too shabby either.
