Yeah, I don't have a clue either when they start talking that Case talk.

I always have liked Trapper patterns and carry the Queen at the top as my EDC about half the time.

so the bolsters on a tested are thinner than a xx making the handles longer. I do not know the measurement. I was told this by a veteran collecter about mine

I have two trappers, both given to me by my Dad. He loves a Trapper style knife!
The first one is a Case 6207 (not sure that it counts as "full-sized", but whatever). I have never carried it:
Case 6207
Case 6207
The other is a Case 6254 6-dot that he gave me when I was a teen-ager, probably in the early 80's
He had two knives to give that day, and he let my brother and I choose which one we wanted. My brother chose the 5-dot because it was Stainless, and I chose this one. I carried it a lot back then, and always loved the wonderful patina on these carbon blades.
Case 6254
Case 6254
Jesus is life.
Everything else is just a hobby.

The other is a Case 6254
The 6207 is a Mini-Trapper. 3½" closed length.

The 6254 is a full sized trapper. 4-1/8" closed length.

And not mentioned, the 62154 is a Tiny Trapper. 2-3/8" Closed Length

For some reason, lately I've been running into a bunch of Tiny-Trappers listed on eBay as Mini-Trappers. ::shrug::
It just seems to be a small group of sellers. I notified a couple of the discrepancy and received a polite but disinterested reply and they didn't bother to modify their listings. ::hmm:: Small knives don't sell as well as the medium size and up???

Yes it is - perhaps a bad choice as a prop for my OIF knife - but those two medals came from that war (I won't own any insignia, etc. that isn't mine - unless of course it was my Dad's).

A few more - the Case fat stag from 1976 is why I don't buy too many stag handled knives - looks great but way to bulbous in the hand. The Remington Trapper (as built by Camillus) stayed in my old truck - gave the truck to my daughter and S-I-L and the knife went with the truck. OH

Great choice of props and I would love to know the story behind it. If I'm not wrong our military doesn't hand our Bronze Participation Stars, thank you for earning it. ::handshake::

I have to agree with you regarding fat stag. I just don't care for it. It seems a little unusual to find such grotesque stag on a seventies trapper. I figured that trend started in the 1980's and 90's.

Is a Trapper stll a Trapper if it only has one blade? ::shrug::

If anyone has the R6154 and would want to sell it, I'm interested.

In my opinion (and God knows I have plenty of them) a 54 is a 54, be it Remington or Case, a 154, a 254, a 354 or a 554.
