Re: WHAT DID YOU USE YOUR KNIFE FOR TODAY!!!!!!????
Bouncing Betty (refer to the gardening thread for details) had a bunch of weeds and some roll bale twine wrapped around the tines. I couldn't bring myself to use my Hinderer, so my RR Ladyleg rose into action. I had just used a pull-through sharpener to touch it up and the edge lasted just long enough to get the job done. Lots of mud and dirt wrapped in with the weeds, but it worked!
A "before" and "after" shot, boy was that stuff really wrapped tightly in there, almost like sisal rope with dirt and some decaying plant matter.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

A tree in the neighboring yard has branches that periodically encroach onto my driveway. I needed little more excuse to break out the Victorinox SwissChamp! Maybe I need to find a serviceable hawkbill, too.

Re: WHAT DID YOU USE YOUR KNIFE FOR TODAY!!!!!!????
Today I used one of my Marlin Spikes to undo a very tight knot in some 3/4" flat nylon straps. I started picking up these nylon straps while I was working, when material was delivered to a job site, I would pick up the straps and use the again on the job or on the farm. It's amazing the strength of the 3/4" straps. I keep one on the zero-turn so if I get in a too slick spot, all I need to do is hook it to the trailer ball on the golf cart and a little tug will pull it to high ground. The other day I was towing the mower on the trailer with the golf cart when we experienced an electrical problem with the cart, (too many amps drawn pulling the trailer through a mud hole or two). Got a tractor and pulled the cart and trailer back to the barn with two pieces of the nylon in the hitch along with a chain. I had tied a unintentional slip knot and it got so tight, I found out how well a Marlin Spike will undo a mess. It took several minutes but I got 'er done!

All that cheese looks good, as does the Trapper. Is it a 6207 or a 6254?

My yard sale 701 assisted me with some late morning snacking on the job site.
Re: WHAT DID YOU USE YOUR KNIFE FOR TODAY!!!!!!????
Placement of the nail nick indicates a 6207 (nick on the 54 Trapper is further out towards the tip).
