I came across a FREE app for iPhone. Not sure if it’s available for Android. Called “Knife Steel Composition”. It lists a large number of steels used for knives, and shows the composition of each. Updated frequently. No ads and totally free. It doesn’t get better than that. Oscar

It's available from the Android Play Store also, along with some other interesting looking apps about heat treating etc
