Hi folks,
I just bought my first tester on ebay this morning. Was hopeing someone here with more knowledge than me could take a look at it and tell me something about it. Like what the "FES" stamp stands for on the second to last picture? Does that stand for the German knife maker "Ferdinand Everts Sohn" ? And does the blade form on the last picture have a specific name for it's form? I found out that "WIBERG" is a company from Austria (est. in 1947) that makes spieces. It was bought out by a company from Israel called "Frutarom" in 2016.

https://www.ebay.de/itm/altes-FES-WIBER ... 2748.l2649

If anyone knows more about "FES" or the blade form, or knows anything else interesting about my first tester knife, I'd be greatful to hear about it.

Take care & Thanks in advanced!!! ::tu::

Ooops! Almost forgot that I can add picture files. Sorry! Here she is...

Very interesting with the blade having the serrated tip and what appears to be some sort of tool or a fork perhaps. Would love to have one of those!

TPK, I like melon testers and have 2 or 3 but I usually think of them as generic. Wow yours changed my thought process. Totally different than anything I have ever seen. Congrats on a great pick up, ::nod:: ::tu::

Well I'm always open for a trade. What I would love to have is a Purina 3 blade Stockman! You got one with good color and shiny blades that you would trade???

See my Grandfather (who died when my mom was only 10 years old) used to work for a feed store and he bread, trained and sold Beagels. My mom said 6-8 weeks back that he always carried one of them everywhere he went. It was his "true & trusted friend" she said. My Grandmother kept it for many many years after his death before giving it to my cousin. After she told me that, I searched the internet to see what they looked like and that's how I got interessted in pocket knives. It is such an eye catcher and it was my Grandfather's EDC, I know that my collection will never be complete or even half way satisfying untill I can add one of them to it. That's the knife that I don't yet own but the one that got me started collecting. :)

Just in case anyone wanted to know.

Found a similar one (WIBERG) on the US ebay but it costs much more than I would ever pay for it.
