Wow! What wonderful collections!
It’s interesting to see how you folks divvy up their collection. Some go by material, some by maker, some by colour.
I kind of do all three. The Richards have their own case and that is divided by colour and material.
Thanks for a peek at all the treasures!

Here is my cigar box accumulation. This is a vintage store cigar box that my brother-in-law got me for Christmas one year. He found it in an antique store in Tennessee where he lives. It has twelve drawers in it with two compartments in each drawer. I keep nothing but small knives in this one. Haven't counted them recently but there is somewhere around 650 knives in it.

Knife7knut they all make me drool, especially the mini’s and the watchfob type fancy gentleman’s knives. Wow!

If I may, meaning no harm or insult in the least, point out the little guy with the graphic. Is that a Richards? Well, anyway, it seems just a wee bit dark to me. I’m going to assume that’s celluloid. You might want to just keep an eye on it. :(

I'm pretty sure these are all of my old schrades that have bone handles, with a few pearl and wood in there. A few of these are not in great condition, but most are in excellent condition with a handful of minty ones. I am focusing on the minty knives much more. I have a lot of other knives but these old schrades represent the core of my collecting and main interest.

Thanks for the kind words Ann.Yes it is a Richards miniature 3 blade with an RCMP graphic on it and it has been like that for about 30 years now. I haven't really experienced cel degradation on shell handled knives as yet but I'm sure there is always a first time. Here is a better picture of the knife.

I remember the shell handle RCMP knives well. As a kid in Canada in 1950's & early '60's the stores in tourist type places always had these on display cards, usually near the cash register.

Camillus. Most of these are from the local hardware store stash I found last year.

I forgot to put my old four line stamp sword brand pearl in the above picture and I already put everything up, so here it is by itself.

Hi Larry, I assume you are referring to the Elephant toe on the left of 4 like knives.
That knife has jigged bone covers.
Thanks.

Great collection pics everyone! I like photos of knife groups. The first three pics are displays I made up for a local gun show back in 2013 or 2014, trying to drum up some local interest. Didn't work. The last one is my Keen Kutter collection as of about 1 year ago.

Hmm. I wonder if something else discoloured it? My large Mountie looks much the same and has been segregated. I don’t see corrosion on the seemingly carbon blades so perhaps it’s not outgassing after all, I hope!

Here is about half of my collection that I keep in display cases. The rest of it just kind of resides where ever I can find a flat spot. It might take a day or two to get those together for a photo.
