Cruising Chelsea Antique Mall

Saw these items today while cruising The Chelsea Antiques Mall in Chelsea, AL, just South of Birmingham. It’s one of our favorite malls.
The big Gothic style flat file is $2400.00.
The metal drawer chest $425.00.
The kitchen knife wall display may well have been Case. There is a remnant of a decal remaining.

I really like those first two, either one would be great do I have no idea where I would put the first one in our house, but it will certainly make someone at awesome piece of "knife furniture."
I love the metal drawers too...

Some real knife storage potential in those Charlie!
The first one is interesting. The bottom part with the flat file drawers looks similar to what was used to store mechanical drawings and prints. There ware several similar to it in my high school draftsman classroom - they were solid oak and matched the drafting tables. Each student had a drawer in which we stored our work-in-progress drawings between classroom sessions.. The top looks more like a residential piece, but if so I can’t explain the drawers.
All that aside I’m guessing it was for retail merchandising.

I have not stopped in at that mall in several months,
maybe a year. They always have really nice stuff.
The wife and son like the general store next door ..... candy by the pound.

The big chest and Gothic top are definitely not oak, might actually be mahogany, but I didn’t spend a lot of time trying to figure it out and I didn’t ask.
Very well made, but somebody has drilled a 3/4” hole in that right upper door and inserted a key lock device. Not good.
Thing would cost a fortune to ship.

A pickup with a blanket or two and some ratchet straps would be cheaper than shipping. Just thinking outside the box.
