Happy for you Eustace and really great knives and coins from 'Rotten'. If he keeps this up he may have to change his name. Eustace happy, Momma happy, daughter happy, winner all the way around. Good job Rotten. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Well Eustace got lucky in a few ways.
First I couldn't find my bag of stinky knives after the rearranging of the house we did earlier this year. So even though the knives I did send were going into the package with a few less reputable knife shaped objects I couldn't locate all the KSO's.
Second, the cost of shipping to Bulgaria is a wee bit more than you'd think so what few KSO's that were in the pile were withdrawn. I wasn't going to pay to ship those. Plus I needed to keep the total weight down.
Finally, as to the coins. While folding the note I caught sight of the coins, which had been laying on my little sharpening table for I don't know how long, and just put'em in.

I am just so relieved that the box made it safely, that there was something for the whole family is a great bonus.

All the best Eustace,
Your new friend in Texas.

:x Whew! What a pile!
Ok, first the whole lot -

So, more or less in order,
Silver National Geographic Adventurer two part hobo, no country or company
White penknife Century of Progress Chicago 1933 Seneca Cutlery Co Utica NY
Red/Grey knife and pen Imperial Prov RI
Knife/Razor Whitetail Cutlery Pakistan
Yelloish celluloid advertising knife Quick Point St Louis
Silver white groomer Japan
Trojan TX Japan
Two blade jigged Colonial RI
Horn Handle Bullet Pakistan 13047
Long French Ivory Knife WH Morley and Son’s Germany
Black plastic handle Black Angus

I really like most of these knives! It must have been the old horn handle one that the neighbour was smelling.
Here’s some closer looks -

As you can see, there’s a lot of damage to the horn. Looks like something chewed it.

There is one truly evil knife. It’s the large, closed, black handled one. I can see Black Angus and a steer on the blade and the end of ‘Crane’ and ‘EI on the tang. That’s all I can see because it’s jammed shut tighter than my ex’s heart! It’s super annoying because I like the handle and I think it would be a cool knife. Aaarrrgggh!
Anyway, on the whole, a heckuva haul! Thanks!

Cut a strip out of a plastic milk jug (assuming y'all drink milk and have the plastic milk jugs). Fold it in half. Slip it into the blade well under the blade. Pull like the dickens and if that doesn't work, crank a vise down on the plastic strip and hook a team of mules to the knife. Giddy up

Good idea! I’ll try that. Perhaps margarine container lid would work.

It works great for those knives with nail rippin' strong springs and thin shallow pulls. "Do ya hear that Tommy? Yeah, I'm talking about your knife."
I've even used a business card folded in the middle. There's a lot more leverage out at the tip.

I just remembered where I put the picture I took of the one I made.

Eureka!
It's taken me most of a week but I reckon I've posted my first picture! I took the photos with my tablet but it won't shrink them unless I send them email to my desktop computer. Then I migrate it to a folder and finally to this thread.
I'll add the rest of the photos as I can and I'll need to finish taking photos of the rest of the Pile Of Stuff from Eustice.

Eustice, I read your posting Friday morning before I took my wife to the doctor and wore your martenitsa all day. Folks looked at it but the only comment I got was from her doctor. She was so curious she googled it before she started treating my wife. :)

My delivery from the north finally made it to my door.
IMG_20190304_131326525.jpg
I never have enjoyed subfreezing days but it was a good thing for this delivery. At least my postman and I are still on speaking terms.

Very thoughtfully wrapped in the appropriate packing material, possibly even Charmin.
IMG_20190304_131722326.jpg
I did check the BG survival guide which was included but alas there were no instructions pertaining to the POS Roundtable. Bravely though I soldiered on.
IMG_20190304_132745991.jpg
Turned out much better than expected. A decent little Chinese multitool. A cool little wood handled advertising lockback marked 'Barlow stainless British Hong Kong'. A Gerber something or other whose only saving grace is the nail file. A Buck Creek Chinese trapper that has fit and finish that raises my opinion of China made. And wonderful little made in USA Imperial jack knife.

Thank you Mark you made my day.

Hey Scale Military, looks like your pile dried up enough to be released and delivered this am! You should still exercise caution when opening...

This is so fun I wish it was more than once a year, but then we'd probably have the same knives being re sh*tted a lot more often.

Yes, it was military issue for some odd close to a hundred years now. "TL" stands for Tool, Linesman, they were made by many companies, and there are a fair amount of threads related to them here. I'm sure someone can share a link.

They also are fun to modify...
