Robeson easy opener

Post by knife-nut »

I wanted to show you my old Robeson easy opener. 5” long closed. Too big to carry comfortabley. Beautiful worm groove bone handles. Great snap.

I have one that i was quite excited about until i was informed that the wood handles are a replacement. It should have jigged bone like the O.P. knife.

That's about as nice of one of those as I have ever seen.

Has it been cleaned?

As long as I've been buying Robeson knives, I have never come across one that nice.

North West Knives, a dealer in vintage cutlery, had one a few years ago priced at $2500.00.

Please post it in the Robeson brand specific forum.

That knife is exquisite. I like to carry and use most of my knives, but there are quite a few that are pampered and never see use. This would be one of them. Really nice knife.

Mark, that's a beautiful knife, and IMHO just about the right size for back pocket carry. But it would be a shame to carry a wonderful old survivor in that condition.
