2018 AAPK club knife

Post by 313 Mike »

Not sure if anyone has posted about this or not yet, but I just found on the newly updated GEC production schedule, there is am upcoming AAPK club knife listed...you can see it on this link if you scroll down a ways. Looks like a pattern 14 boys knife, single clip blade. Antique yellow saw cut bone, stamped AAPK shield.

Interesting, Mike. ::hmm:: Probably toward the end of the year, do you suppose?

Good find Mike. Notice the first two blocks of scheduled runs all are all steel. Note in the group that has AAPK in it some of those orders are for a two blade model.

Philip - When they show up, depends on how long it takes them to crank out the orders and if they do them in sequence or not. The way I read it, it could be by or before September but don't take that to the bank. Just my guess.

That's a fine looking jack there Jerry ::tu:: For some reason that saw cut yellow brings to mind Camillus for me.

So is this the main thread for this year's club knife? Who's taking orders, or how can we get one?

Lee, Brian is the head honcho on this deal. When the time is right he will let us know. I believe last year when he received notification from GEC that the knives had been shipped he started taking orders. He will start his own thread of how to order and you better get em while they're hot. :D

Greg, thanks for the info. I'll keep my eyes open then.

Jerry, the #77 pics you posted look like the ones from GPKnives but it was advertised as Antique Autumn Saw Cut Bone:
https://www.gpknives.com/tidioute771214 ... tbone.html
Funny you should have posted those because I've been drooling over those very pics all day. I saw Gunstock Jack's #14 SFO will be smooth antique autumn and I found those pics through google images because I wanted to see what that color looks like. I sure wish GEC would do another large run of those 77s!

When I saw the AAPK knife was going to be a Boy's Knife, I though it would be the #15 pattern at 3.5" which is the current run. Didn't think it would be the #14 at 3". Whatever.....I'll still order it. ::tu::

Looks good overall, definitely liking the long pull. Shield looks a little big, but maybe it's just the pic. Looking forward to hopefully laying hands on this one!

I'm right behind you Greg with a new t-shirt too! This time next week I should be coon-fingering that beautiful knife and introducing her to her 12 sisters. ::ds::
