Interesting knife, looks typical Russian made, hell for strength, nothing fancy. Kind of like the Mig 21, AK47, no bells and whistles, they just "work". ::tu:: Terry

I'm glad you like the knife. Thank you, Jerry, for the good words!
Just to bring some clarity. Bulgaria has long been under the political influence of the USSR, but the quality of our production was much higher. Things were made to work long. It is well-known that AK produced in Bulgaria is better than the produced in the USSR. :D
The knife is the so-called "soldier's knife". Every morning in the army we were doing a morning check. There was a list of items that every soldier should have - a comb, a pocket knife, a little notebook and a pen, a needle and a thread. We put these things in the hat and the platoon commander passes and checks. This model knife was the most popular, selling it and in military shops. Working knife, unpretentious but strong. Тhe socialist economics was so sure in itself, that the price is marked on the tang ::dang:: Suspended by production late 70's. Because they was very used knives, to be found in this condition is not very easy.

You are very welcome Georgi. That was number 12 in my little stack of Camillus 14's. You might get the idea I'm hooked on 'em and you would be correct. When I see one at a giveaway price, I just can't pass it up. Had I known it was so close to your birthday, I would have stuck a birthday card in with it. Happy Birthday and enjoy the knife.

When I read the topic I was sure somebody left the gate to the north-40 open and Jerry's AAPK account was hacked. I was pleasantly surprised to see in fact that detente has been reached and kindness extended. Well played donor and recipient - I suspect Jerry will find a prominent place to display his new knife and show it off to his Marine buddies! ::handshake::

I also just noticed that it's an eight month old post, where are my glasses ::facepalm::
