Thanks David for the confirmation. I was thinking it might be some type of weird plastic or something like that "Faux MOP" stuff on the new Schrades.edge213 wrote:It is celluloid.XX Case XX wrote:I honestly don't know if this Kutmaster is celluloid but here it is...

My grampa's old Western States. And a couple of advertizers; Herzog became Cadillac rentals in 1951 and Simplex, a British auto company. It's nicer in person than in the photo, the lettering is inlaid not stamped.

This one looks like it used to be a backdrop for an Iron Butterfly concert. Groovy Man...espn77 wrote:Great looking knives Gunsil, Charlie. Here are a couple Remington's.

Re: LETS SEE YOUR BEAUTIFUL CELLULOID!
That 9383 is a beauty, in great condition too! That pattern with cracked ice handles are fairly rare in my experience. BTW that pattern is usually called a "swell center" or sometimes a "balloon end" whittler, not a coke bottle.jjohnston wrote:Some beautiful Celluloids... here's my Case XX Cokebottle Whittler. download/file.php?mode=view&id=314235

Re: LETS SEE YOUR BEAUTIFUL CELLULOID!
Nice knives here. There are a lot of celluloid handles that I really like ... if only it were stable. Here is a little Utica. I have a few more around, though I do not consider any of mine to be beautiful like some of those already posted.
