Tell us more, where is this? I am very interested in history and the old buildings. Too bad it can't be rebuilt or at least cleaned up to original. thanks for sharing. ::tu:: Terry

That is the burned out remains of the Cattaraugus factory #2 in Little Valley, N.Y. I had the pleasure of visiting there last summer with Dean Case and Brad Lockwood. That was before the second fire gutted the building still standing. It cannot be rebuilt, it is too badly damaged. Sadly it had been purchased by a person who had wanted to get the buildings back to usable condition and save their historic value, but when the first building burned a year and a half or so ago the site was condemned and the new owner is now saddled with the tremendous cost of cleaning up the site. What is really creepy is that the local FD believes the fires were started by meth lab explosions. Little Valley is a tiny village in a fairly remote part of N.Y. state and it is a shame that these meth makers are even in such rural areas.

Thanks for the great pics!! I had seen those before, can't remember where. They are of the first fire that took out the main building, the building in the OP has since been burned out too.

So sad, the factory that I worked at for 40 years is in the process of being torn down, it saddens me, but time marches on. :(
