It's not that old, 2007.
Here's a good link to check out the age of a Puma knife.

At first I thought it said "Swiss Guard knives" because I find the Swiss Guard fascinating and I'm always on the lookout for info relating to them. But this isn't the halberd forum, is it! :D
I think the swing guard knives are a very clever invention but my guard (bought in 1970) was a bit wobbly and didn't lock up tight on opening so I wondered if this was usual for swing guards.
Mine was also too big for pocket carry and I gave it away years before I joined AAPK.
Now bigbore has me regretting that. ::dang::
Btw bigbore, are your small swing guards also considered normal size for swing guards or are they more rare?

Wow, thanks for that detailed size comparison bigbore. You're a great spokesman for the swing guard and have certainly brought them into the foreground for me. ::tu::

Thanks for the kind words Edgewise.

This one is custom made for me by Mr. Rene Horat from Switzerland.

As Swing Guards go, I don't think you can top that Horat (first I'm hearing of him). I love the european design and that cross guard makes the knife look like a miniature Viking sword. ::tu::

That Horat is a fine looking knife, but I have to admit to a certain fondness for the Mother of Pearl. I don't collect Case knives, but I'd make an exception for that one. ::tu::

Great swing guards Gents. I have about 30 to 40. All CASE. Been shown elsewhere on the forum.

I have this full set of CASE Jaguars. All knives in set have SN 206. All others are older Cheetahs.

Stamps range from 1996 or 1997 to 2000. I believe only 500 sets made and have seen many parted out. Took 4 years waiting for each factory release and each associated serial number. Nothing spectacular but cool set.
