Bear & Son Cutlery will be there this year....Wally Gardner leading the helm....

If you are looking for some USA made knives at great prices...stop by and check them out. If nothing else stop by and say hello to Wally (former President/Imperial Schrade and Owner of Canal Street Cutlery). ::nod::

Nice Jody, the only thing I bought this year was a Randall pointed cap to fit a #18 5" knife I have to replace a flat cap. I will post pic tomorrow. I saw a lot of nice knives but it was a strange year. Didn't see anything I could;t go home without. I did seem to spend more time at the Chris Reeve display but didn't pull the trigger.

I had a good time. I went looking for Terriers. There were only two there. One, I already have and the other was too much money and it had been heavily cleaned. Blades were almost full. I would have bought it sans cleaning, for his asking price.

Bought some super slick glue some guy was hawking, some lubricant for knives and guns and walking stick and white gold & diamond cross for Sarah.

I took some Robeson knives as trading fodder and ended up selling four.

I came home with more money than I took.

I reserved a sales table from Bruce Voyles for next year's Dalton, Georgia knife show. I'm going to set up to sell some of this Robeson collection and the paraphernalia surrounding it.

Had a great time at dinner. Good food and great people.

Got a little sleep deprivation on the drive home, but made it OK. Never left the road and didn't get pulled over.

The Cubs fulfilled one of the things on my bucket list by winning the World Series last year. I have three other items on the list that I'd like to accomplish before I croak. Two are doable, the third probably not. I'd like to attend Blade. I'd like to attend the Oregon show. I'd like to visit Australia. There are other things but those are the top three.

Jerry - sounds like a good off topic discussion - "My Bucket List" - I have 2 of your 3 on mine, no interest in returning to Australia.

For anyone who has never been to the Dalton show, there are loads of collectible folders, both vintage and recent. I have been to both shows and enjoyed them but Dalton is more along my interests. Usually several of the biggest vintage dealers are there. My $.o2 worth.

If you've already been there, there's no reason to go. For me, a bucket list is for things I've never done. Add Alaska to my list. I've been in 49 states but have only flown over Alaska and that doesn't count. Also I would like to go above the Artic Circle and below the equator. I want to go to Africa and South America which along with Australia would make six of the seven continents. Opted out on a trip to Argentina several years ago and have kicked myself ever since.

I have never seen such a crowd as there was at the Blade Show on Saturday and those who were there Friday said it was even more crowded then. I was told the show set an all time attendance record. On Saturday morning they let the public start entering at 9:00 sharp and it took 25 minutes for all those waiting in line just to enter the show room.

Here's the loot I picked up at the show......

No doubt looks like a great time ::tu:: .. thanks Jody and Phil for posting those photos - always good to see the faces behind the posts :D ...

Like Jerry - hope to make it at least once to the Blade Show (though it sounds like the vintage knives I like are less in abundance than the modern knives etc) but probably more so I would no doubt like to go to the Oregon Knife Show, and the one in Dalton, GA sounds pretty intriguing to me ::nod:: ...
