Unfortunately one scale is cracked. Maybe I can get Bill DeShivs to rescale one side? I just added the restored lever knife photos, by Mr. Bill DeShivs. As always a masterful job! Thanks Bill!

Enjoy!

First time I've seen these, I learn something new every day with knifing. Interesting design and great looking examples. ::tu:: ::tu::

Here are a few that fall in the lever pellet catagory. They include lever, nap, leppington, wiltzen hatch and english pellets . There is also a relatively new pellet variation with flat lifts these were used in medical kits for the canadian troops. My guess is that in field conditions it allowed opening and keeping the blade and keeping it cleaner in an emergency by just using the lift. I added a parts lever skeleton to show a bit of the mech of these. The Wiltzen with the big wheel bycycles only has one blade but it is still rare. The Hatch versions were made underthe Wilt zen patent but by the Hatch company. Sorry to be so tardy with my post but I just found this thread I guess I should stop by more. The levers were made by Nap for Lever. Canal st before closing ressurected the ring turn I have some of them including in pearl but they are in another spot if someone wantsto see them just let me know. LT

Here's an interesting Pellet patent lift tab on a cigar cutter, don't really need the tab because this one is spring loaded like a switch blade. Just push the button and it pops up! 8)

I posted some pellets ect at the beginning of this thread. I thought that since you mention ring turns I would add these which were made for a short time by Canal Street Cutlery. There were not a lot of runs of these. Especially the mother of pearl model. They introduced the resurrection of the ring turn at a shot show a few years back . Dave Swinden who had been around since Schrade made them had the knowledge and ability to make this variation. Of course Dave is gone and so is Canal street so there will not be any more of these. LT

The lever ended and pellet knives are very cool and have not seen many in hand 8) 8) ...

LT - Canal street made some great quality knives ::tu:: ::tu::

Dimitri - That is one awesome cigar cutter ::tu:: ::tu:: I do have to ask - What does "patent" refer to - patent as in "patenting an invention" or "patent" as in approved by royalty or neither ???.... I ask because that old quill I have shown before with a GcrownR (this one being King George II-IV & pre-1830 and not King George V of the 1900s) had only the word "patent" stamped underneath it - and I have been trying to figure out what it means ::hmm:: ::hmm:: ...

He made a great version for sure! I have had two bone ones myself. One a 'PROTOTYPE' I trade for two vintage ring turns on here. I think I sold the other one. These always sell for a high amount it seems. Nice set of knives there!

Just scored a unique little lever ended knife, from one of my UK sellers. $64.00 plus $13.00 shipping. (not bad for this rare knife!)

Antique Greco 27 Sloane square, Lever open twin blade knife.

I will post my own photos once it crossed the pond... ::tu:: Nice uncracked celluloid!
