Thanks tree farmer. Yes I made the bow and arrows, making primitive bows is a hobby/obsession I've had for 20 years now. I didn't make the arrowhead though, I don't flint knap but have a couple friends who do and send me arrowheads from time to time. The stone points can be
very accurate if mounted properly, the rest is up to the guy with the bow in hand. :) I didn't know there was an outdoor forum on AAPK, I'll definitely check that out.

Thanks espn77. On a good day I can't seem to miss a shot, of course thats within a limited range. Then again there are the bad days which happen more often than I care to admit. :lol:

Here's my contribution.. The knives I had with me while deer hunting this morning photographed from my hay bale blind. That's about as wild as it gets for me these days.

After switching handle to something a little more hand filling.. Feels good in hand as you can use a few different positions.. I have med/large hands and it does not feel too small.. Nice little user.. With the sheath it can be dropped into a pocket/pack etc.. John :D

Interesting photos, fellows. I like the mushroom and moss backgrounds. Scott, your photo looks just like my part of the world. I find it hard to get a knife into a natural setting without the knife just about disappearing into the background.

This was an old Winchester blade, with five coin sized holes drilled thru the handle, - and thin slabs, which were split - ( I hated those). Acquired it from a deceased cousins stuff. I know this blade saw a lot of venison over the years. I rehandled it with red dymondwood, stippled the cutlery rivets with a small split-ring punch

and made a new sheath for it. Gifted it to my cousin's favorite nephew. Good for another 40 years in the deer woods.
