I've read & heard that Kingsnakes have been known to eat Copperheads. This one didn't seem interested.

Waldo and Betty lakes. In places the snow on the trails was still 2-3' deep!

Beautiful picture. I can almost hear the water. Food always taste better cooked on a fire near a lake.

Every time I kill a deer or turkey I carve my initials in a beech tree. So does my brother. One tree in particular is carved multiple times with kills from my 5 biggest bucks but I can’t find the picture of it.

Wobblehead, as Bro. Scott said , that is very cool tradition! Great pictures, too. ::tu::
It is a great way to commemorate a special day in the woods. Personally I got in the habit of making a notch on the 2X4 door jamb of my stand here at the house. Nobody appreciates it but me but I like it. :) When I was young it was not uncommon to see initials carved in random places in the woods. Trees of course but also on bridge timbers, picnic table and such. Must not be politically correct any more. ::mdm::
Here's one of my stands marked commemorating Bambi and his departed brothers:
