Cleaning up after some rest. Reducing the paper to digital. Thought someone want these three. The first is the event location area. The top is North. The next two are businesses and Vendors. If you click on the photo it should enlarge. JUST CHECKED AND AAPK ALLOWS FOR TWICE THE ENLARGEMENT FUNCTION. Thanks Brian.

Since there were no Canal Street knives to be found, I only ended up buying one knife at the show, but it was a dandy. Anyone recognize the mark of this customizer ?

Re: 2017 OKCA Show April 8th & 9th
I got quite a few knives at the show this year, including my first Honk Halls Napanoch which was in a box of parts knives.
I was going to repair it, but someone offered enough money for it that I really couldn't afford not to sell it.
My only regret is I didn't get a picture of it, since it was the only Honk Falls Napanoch I have ever held in my hand!
I will post pictures of some of the knives from the show here in this topic, no doubt some will go into other topics as well.

Great Dave, you caught me with a really dumb look on my face!
Looks like I was getting ready to sneeze!
I think that must be my normal look!
It was a good show and I did make it home with some goodies & a couple $, well maybe only one $.
Here are a few upcoming projects after I get caught up: Whoever "worked" on this knife really nailed it! Does anyone know anything about the knife in the last picture?
I wonder what B.G.I. Co is?
Oh yes, there is another little project I picked up that I hope to get around to one of these days, this cute little Case.
Not sure what to put on it, stag, jigged bone, mammoth ivory? The possibilities are endless, more or less.

Nice haul, Dale. Looks like you have a nice group of project knives. What's your plan for the 3 large hunters? They look pretty nice already!

Looks like a great show and a good time was had by all. Shame we don't have knife shows like that in Texas any longer - here there's a lot of gun and knife shows here that are about 80-90% firearms and the rest knives. It's been years since there were shows dedicated to knives.
Great to see the pictures. Thanks for posting them.

Re: 2017 OKCA Show April 8th & 9th
Good question Glenn!
The Union Cut dogs head Kabar needs to be cleaned but aside from that I will probably not do anything. I haven’t decided yet whether I’m going to sell it or keep it. Probably sell it.
The second one down is a Camillus that I will probably cleanup and add to my old Camillus collection. The tang stamp is CAMILLUS/CUTLERY COMPANY/NEW-YORK, the this tang stamp Goins’ dates as 1915 to 1918, though I don’t have the greatest confidence in his dating method for Camillus.
The third knife appears to be in A. W. Wadsworth but the stamp light. The blades a little short on it, but if you have a use for it send me a PM or an email we can work something out.
I do have three more folding hunters that I picked up at the show. The first is a Schrade-Walden 225H, it was in really good condition so I left the patina on it and put it in my store. I also picked up a Schrade-Walden 227UH. The clip blade has been sharpened but is full-length however the skinning blade has been sharpened so much it’s only about 3/16” wide, not quite a toothpick but getting there. Fortunately I have a replacement blade for it.
The third one appears to be a Schrade cut Co with a tang stamp that is worn off. I will post a couple pictures of it next to the 225H. When you look at it the Schrade DNA is very evident. The 5 handle pins and the rocker pin appeared to my memory to be identical to a Schrade Cut Co folding hunter I did a couple years ago.
As you can see the cracked ice celluloid is in really decent condition with no cracks (that I’ve noticed) and very little shrinkage. I was holding it here while writing this and happened to look at the blade in just the right light. There was an etch on this blade at one time and I can still read part of it, the part I can read says FORGED STEEL. Now this is even more curious! Maybe Eric or someone knows what it is, or who it was made for.

Thank you Jerry! Semper Fi! This has the bones of a military knife. I am not sure what the handle material is, it’s a brown hard composite. Did they make brown Bakelite? That’s what it appears to me to be. Thanks again for the info I hadn’t got any farther in the search than Goins.jerryd6818 wrote:A little research with my friend Google shows: B.G.I CO (Bridgeport Gun Implement Co) was a major supplier to the arms industryorvet wrote:

Re: 2017 OKCA Show April 8th & 9th
I also picked up this little gem at the OKCA show. The stamp says VIGNOS/CANTON O. it was a stamp used by Novelty Cutlery Co of Canton Ohio.
The guy who had this really wanted me to have the knife when he found out my last name was Vincent.
For those of you who are youngsters and not motorcycle enthusiasts the knife is an advertisement for Vincent Motorcycles. Vincent Motorcycles were made in the UK and they were the fastest motorcycles in the world. There is more information and a couple of links below on the Vincent motorcycles.
Meanwhile, back to the knife:
2 ¾ inches long, four blade Congress with the clear celluloid handle and advertising beneath it that Novelty Cutlery Co was famous for.
On the mark side it has the name VINCENT with half of their slogan on either end of the knife. At the left end it says ” The World's Fastest Standard Motorcycle” and that the right end of the mark side it says: “This is a Fact Not a Slogan.”
The pile side says the Vincent HRD CO. LTD. STEVENAGE . HERTS . ENGLAND The knife is far from pristine but it's just a cool knife especially with my family name on it and since my dad and I both used right motorcycles.
As I recall dad had an Indian and my biggest bike I ever owned was the Honda CB 750. Mine was one of the early ones pre-K-1.
While my CB 750 would not do 190 miles an hour like a Vincent, I did have it up 130 one day. Amazing the stupid things we do when we're young!
Only by the grace of God do we managed to survive!
Here is a link to a popular mechanics article about Jay Leno’s Series C Vincent Black Shadow. It’s a 998 cc V-twin. They would do well over 100 miles an hour and was outlawed in 37 of the 48 states. http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/a6 ... -the-best/
Here is another interesting article on the Vincent, the Vincent Black Widow. It was bored out to 1400 cc and listed with a top speed of 190 mph. Pretty dang fast in 1955!

Re: 2017 OKCA Show April 8th & 9th
Very cool additions, Dale! I especially like the Canton Vincent. Hopefully, it won't gas out like most of them. The advertising is great, and it's got your name, so extra cool points for that.
As for the Wadsworth hunter, I already have a couple hunter mod/rebuild projects waiting in the wings, LOL. Guess great minds think alike.
I like the pattern a lot, but they are a handful, and not always a practical carry, but they are very cool nevertheless.

Dale, great knife, especially appropriate for you. Your post reminded me of another Vincent model, the Black Lightning.

It was an awesome show. I was busy so I did not get enough time to see all the tables, but what I saw was amazing.
