Y'all are much too kind. :oops:

But, I gotta admit, there is something mesmerizing about abalone when the light hits it just right...almost makes it appear to be glowing from within. Like Gnarly Stag, I find Paua Abalone endlessly fascinating.

At the risk of showing off...here's another peek. ::paranoid::

Next to impossible to "catch the fire" in pearl & abalone but you pulled it off. Both are beautiful!!!

A slightly different style from the traditional slipjoint knives I collect...these two CRKT Ripples (Bronze & Blue Titanium) by fellow HI resident Ken Onion will probably go into my EDC rotation at some point. The thing I love about this pattern is the smooth-as-silk, non-assisted flipper opening that uses Ikoma Korth's patented Bearing System (IKBS). Kershaw Speedsafe is nice, but the IKBS is on a whole other level for lightening fast, one-hand deployment. Both of these are frame locks (not to be confused with liner locks).

Here's yet another pair from me, this time Schrade 18OTs. The one on the top was previously a display piece, and will continue in that role as long as I own it. The used example will be a regular carrier.

Thanks Tom. The 54 came because I wasn't paying attention to detail. The 07 was what I was actually after (it came later).

:lol: No way Jerry! :lol: That's almost exactly what happend to me with this pair. I thought the 54 I had was a Mini Trapper and that I was buying another one so that I could carry one and keep the other one in new & unused condition. When the 07 showed up it had me scratching my head for a minute untill I figured out that my first "Mini Trapper" was actually a Tiny Trapper. ::dang:: :lol:

Oh well. ::shrug:: Now I know the difference between the two anyways. ::nod::

I must add, the 6207 pattern is about as close to "the perfect size" as it gets for me. ::nod::
Great knives IMO! ::super_happy::

I hear ya Tom. That 3½" - 3-5/8" range is my sweet spot. (I might could add 3-3/8" to that group)

Very cool pair, Q. And the thumb studs attached with Phillips head screws are interesting; I've never seen such a feature.
