That is a sweet Trifecta, right there, Ivoryman...three sweet sheepfeet, indeed!

Re: Matchng Pairs
I'm really liking this rattle snake bone. The pattern is jigged into the bone and feels smooth but rough kinda like an old rattle snake might!

Love those Russells. Are they US or China made. I have a few of his China made knives and I'm very happy with them. They must be discontinued, I done see them on his website.
Re: Matchng Pairs
Yup, both made in China. I have always been very impressed with the craftsmanship and high quality of AG Russell knives, and the knives he has made in China are no exception. AG Russell's are the only Chinese made knives I currently own...although I am aware of other brands that are turning out some really good quality cutlery from Chinese manufacturers as well.PCwizard wrote:QTCut5 wrote:AG Russell Wharncliffe Curved Regular Jacks

Re: Matchng Pairs
It's actually very good. I can see no issues with these "late model" Case knives whatsoever; although, I'm probably not as discriminating or demanding (i.e., nit-picky) about minor details as I know some collectors are. But, both of these have great walk & talk, crisp (but not nailbreaking) opening/closing snap & solid half-stops. Everything is tight, flush and put together just as a quality pocketknife should be. No complaints here.garddogg56 wrote:Now thats a pair of Warnies hows the F&F on the 89+90??

Here's the same 1989 Wharncliffe Copperhead matched up with his Serrated Wharncliffe twin from 1990, both dressed in Olive Bone.

Great stuff FRJ, beauties.
These aren't exact matches obviously but just noticed the handle shape is very close to a match. Never noticed this before but one of my favorite discontinued Case patterns is a lot like the GEC 15. What a coincidence. Both great knives though, even with different blades.

Some prime time knives posted here, absolutely gorgeous. Here's a couple of working Buck bantams, one that sports a brother Scott made lanyard that is kinda cool. Thanks Scott.
Re: Matchng Pairs
Thanks to (Kootenay Joe) I now have a pair of Cam III Dingo"s. You don't see these very often. I carry the one on the bottom as a dress knife once in a while.

Both are very sweet knives, but I really love that GEC. Still looking for my first GEC, I just haven't found the right one yet.

Re: Matchng Pairs
If you were lucky enough to get a pre-order on the GEC sheepsfoot Barlow coming in September, that might make a nice first GEC.
Everything's better with a Barlow
Re: Matchng Pairs
These two, same pattern, different handles, ebony & bloodwood.
I've carried the ebony on several occasions but can't bring myself to carry the bloodwood. To pretty to me to scratch and ding just yet.
