You can never have too many 8OTs, my friend. ::tu:: This is doubly true of 8OTYs, which continue to elude me. ::huff::

The 8oty was made only in 1990, as was the 34oty. They are not too common, but they are the same knife as the 881y and 834y. I think they were made to use up the yellow handles of the then discontinued 881y and 834y as they have the open stock shields not old timer ones.

This one is out of my date range but I really like them . I had a bone Big Chief but sold it so this SFO for Shephard Hills looked liked a bargain. She's on the way.

Managed to get these two for under $100 with a big rewards coupon from CK. Hoping for some spectacular bocote grain, GEC hasn't really disappointed on that front.

Has anyone heard of any upcoming whittler runs/SFOs on this pattern?

Speaking of PAL knives, this one will be shipped soon. Also won it off ebay. Dropped a low bid on it and was surprised when I got the email that I won it.

It's an affliction, I tell ya. For some reason, I just can not walk on by these Camillus 14's. Especially when they are such a good price and look to be in factory condition. There wasn't room in the budget for another knife this month. I'm so weak and such a sucker. ::dang:: ::facepalm::
Should be here tomorrow. ::smirk::

I'm in an odd position with NOTHING in the mail and NOTHING on the horizon. Maybe I'll save my pennies for a future opportunity.

This one should be in the mail shortly. Pulled it off ebay this morning. 1946-1950 CAMMILUS Utility. Seller says that the master blade in sluggish and appears to not close all the way. I really don't see any reason for it, but we shall see. On the plus side, it does have gorgeous Rogers bone handles, which are my favorite.

Just saw my #14 is in Oak Creek, WI so should be touching down Rockford tomorrow morning. ::ds:: It's taking two days to go 135 miles. ::facepalm::

Nice one, TJ. Those handles are indeed beautiful. ::nod::

Psh. That's considered lightning fast in my neck of the woods, Jerry. In the city I live in it can take over a week to receive a letter sent by someone located on the other side of town. ::uc::

This one should be in the mail shortly also. A.W. Wadsworth/Germany/D.R.G.M. Scout Tool. Cheap old ugly knife with tin handles. Bought it because it is a variation on the "electrician's" knife with double-cut screw driver blade I've not seen before. The price, with shipping, was just as cheap as the knife appears to be

tjmurphy wrote:This one is in the mail but out for delivery this morning. Miller Bros. WWI era electrician/radio knife. It's a little worse for wear but was cheap enough to buy to hold a place for a better one. It is a stamp that I don't have. Good handles and nice shield. Anybody got an extra master blade laying around that they don't need??

Thanks to Dimitri (Miller Bro's) for sending me a replacement blade for this knife and Glennbad who did the reblading. ::handshake:: I purposely ask Glenn not to clean the knife up because all the parts match. The Miller Bro's knife is one that I did not have.

No one is going to get overly excited over this Camillus Dura-Tool but I don't care. It adds to a small collection of this type of knife
