Tom, I agree with Reverand in that it looks like a Schrade. I know Schrade and Camillus produced knives for Sears; other makers may have, too. For whatever it's worth, I'm pretty sure they used four-digit pattern numbers until 1973. Again, for whatever it's worth, every Craftsman knife I own that has stainless steel blades is marked as such. I'd think yours is carbon steel.

The Shard is a good little tool at full price. At free, it's excellent. Can only hope the Pledge and Mini Paraframe are at least decent.

cody6268 wrote: Fri Aug 05, 2022 12:18 pm Been wanting this Gerber set for quite some time, and finally picked one up.

Gerber just recently added the Pledge to the regular lineup this month, but it debuted last Christmas season in a Walmart-exclusive gift set along with a Mini Paraframe and Shard pry tool.

Walmart had just knocked $3 off the price (seems like they're keeping the set around--it's not a Christmas-only item anymore), making it just under $20. Gerber's MSRP on the Pledge as a standalone knife is $25. So, I paid $5 less, and got the Mini Paraframe and Shard basically for free.

The Pledge may be a bit big, however--blade is 3.7" long. I normally don't carry anything with more than a 3" blade--despite no real knife laws concerning blade length.
Great deal! Congrats Buddy! ::handshake:: ::super_happy:: I really like that little pry tool! Cool! ::super_happy::

I haven't bought a Mini-Trapper in over 6 months but I've been slobbering' over these since they were introduced. I finally caved this morning and ordered one. It should be here sometime around the middle of next week. They're calling that Barn Board Burnt Cream. The flame might not be burning but there are still some embers glowing in the ash.

That barnboard makes a great looking handle, Jerry! I’ve been “eyeing” those for awhile now.

I agree that it's Schrade. I have a liner lock Trapper that is very similar to the 194OT--but it has brass fittings. However, the shield is identical. It is carbon steel also.

Colonial Coyote, I think the bigger one. I figure this will be a pretty solid work knife.

A seller who does business both on eBay and his own site I occasionally do business with (as his prices are often high for well-used knives) had a coupon for $10 off any order for the first five customers, which brought the knife's price down to just under $9 with shipping.

Not exactly like a RR set but these will get more use.

I talked my wife into us buying three of these Made in Solingen pizza 🍕, steak, tomato, roll ect. knives with slightly serrated edges for the kitchen. ::super_happy::

Because buying any knife is better than buying no knives.

Came across these knives the other day, Whiskey Bent Knives. Never heard of them so the price was right for me to order a couple of them to see how they are. Should be here tomorrow.

Just jumped on these nice bone handles for €19.50 shipped after the seller assured me the blades did not wobble. ::tu:: Description said the main blade is 9 cm long or about 3.5 inches so I guess it should be about 4 inches closed. :D CV & Solingen but I can't make out the stamp yet. ::hmm::

::hmm:: Might buy some sandpapier & try shining the blades. ::hmm::
