Two good ones JohnR, that pattern is quickly approaching my favorite, Camillus 72. Some very practical and well built and beautifully boned old knives. Congrats on those two. ::handshake::

Thanks doglegg, the easy open jack is one of my favorites but old good ones are hard to find with out damage around the easy open notch. These 2 showed up and they are nice, have not had a chance to take some pictures.

Congrats David. As Greg said, those hardly ever show up. As Floyd said, when they do, ya gotta have one.

Hey guys.
Sorry if i am a little confused. What is the knife? Maker, number, pattern, handle, anything else i should know? I am a real newbie so it is all a learning process for me.
Thanks

Willy that's a Camillus pattern 72 yellow jacket. You can see the shield has a yellow jacket under glass. This was a short run in several different patterns fairly modern. They rarely show up for sale though.

Just picked up a sweet old girl.
A Queen City delerin heavy duty 2 blade jack. She stole my heart for $55. Aged beautifully. How can you not love the way she is? They were called rough delerin scales. Now she is perfect pocketworn! Almost new blades. Warnie secondary!

Willy it's not Delrin that knife was made long before Delrin was invented, but it is a tough material and does not shrink or out gas as some plastics from that time period did, very cool knife. ::tu:: ::handshake::

Snagged this slightly used G. W. Stone custom. Doesn’t actually appear from the pictures to have been sharpened but has a few scratches on the blade. Probably worth what they were asking, but the listing said OBO so I gave it a shot and made a lowball offer. Was kinda surprised the seller accepted. ::ds:: If it’s actually been used I’ll continue to use it.

I hope i didn't end your world to badly...

Don't know for sure - it hasn't arrived yet. I'll let you know and post some more pictures of it when I get it. Probably in the fixed blade or custom forum. I bought it because I knew the maker - never seen one of his knives that wasn't excellent. ::nod::

Went all the way through May without buying a knife (pats self on the back) but when I saw this blue Alox Pioneer for what I thought was a very decent price, I lost control and dropped the hammer. Now if I could just find a red for that price.

Especially if it's the old ones with the white cross instead of the shield. I gave almost $30 for a rather beat up one as to avoid carrying a near-mint example that was my great-Granddads. SAKS are supposed to be red; then why is that color so uncommon in Alox? For several years ('60s-90s) it was the standard Alox color before Vic changed to sliver. I only have a small handful, and two of those are 58mm advertising knives.

Found a $12 used lot on eBay that had a Bear and Sons made Craftsman 45201 multitool in it. The prices on these have skyrocketed; used to be $15 or so was the norm, now it's $20-30. I like the Bear Jaws design (in fact, the patent Victorinox used to make the SwissTool by buying Bear and Sons) ;but the quality isn't there. It is my understanding that the Craftsman ones are better built, so I bought the lot as soon as I saw it. Only thing annoying me is that the lot itself was $5, the (flat rate box) shipping was $7. I don't really want the cheapo MTs (and quite frankly, I'm getting annoyed at how they're piling up; since they're more or less a given in used lots); I know one's going to the tackle box.
s-l1600CTMT.jpg

Leatherman had a free shipping promotion, this Crater model was on sale for about 30 bucks, and I already had a $15 gift card, so I finally got the Crater C33T; for just under $16.
