Most of his folders were stolen several years back, but I have quite a bit of fixed blades I'd like to learn about. He collected mostly stag handles, and brands from Ruana to Remington, and vintage Kershaws to DeLeon if that's how you spell it. I'll post some pictures and ask some questions if yall don't mind.
We don't mind at all. In fact, we encourage it!
Welcome aboard!!

Hi.
These are all knives that came from my Grandfather & Father.
They were both in the timber trade, but it’s pretty hard to find much info, or view other of these scribe knives on line.

Welcome to AAPK! The search feature is hidden in the "Quick Links" on the upper left. A search for "timber scribe" brings up a lot to check out.

Hello everyone,
New to the forum and fairly new to folders. I have made a few fixed knives, and kitted up one folder.
My first question is this my father passed and I was given this folder. I have never seen the locking mechanism or this knife style.
Also how do I post pictures?
Thanks

Hi Todd! Welcome.
May I suggest starting a new topic in this thread ---> https://allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_ ... um.php?f=4
Also, very hard to ID a knife without pics. If you can post some up, that'd be great.
If you're not sure how to post pics, there are several how-to threads here ---> https://allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_ ... m.php?f=98

I watched the post choose an action does not appear after hitting attachment.
Also there is a yellow triangle in the bottom of the attachment screen.

The attachment won't show until you select PLACE IN LINE, which you won't see until you fix the error causing the yellow triangle.
The yellow triangle usually means the file is too large. I know how to resize, but I have to be doing it, and I doubt I could write it in a way that wouldn't make it more confusing!

JerryD!! Some help, please!

I’ve not heard before of a picture file too large to upload. Not saying no such thing exists, only that I’m questioning that being the problem. What type of file is your picture? It should be .jpg. If not, might be the problem. What device and software are you using? Probably the simplest thing to do is take pictures using your phone, then upload them from your phone to AAPK.

It was odd, Ken. For years I never had a problem. Then twice not too long ago I had the yellow triangle pop up and saying the file was too large. I fixed those and haven't had any issues since.
