Mighty fine stag gentlemen, mighty fine.
I especially like your 74 Iman! Very well matched set, smooth stag fits the pattern perfectly.

Thanks QSQuick Steel wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 12:27 am There are just so many beautiful examples on this thread. All of you have wonderful examples of stag. I guess I will only comment on LA's Bulldog stag because I am partial to the brand. I love how BD, as in this example, runs the stag all the way up to the bolsters. Fine workmanship.
I always appreciate your input

Re: Lets see some stag
I see that my previous entry was not expressed accurately. Obviously, everyone's stag runs up to the bolsters. But in hafting the BD stag all the exterior bark remains. This is done by removing excess material from underneath the sample. This takes a bit more time and care I am informed.

I'm curious about K'roo knives.
Are they,
Custom individual handmade by one person?
Semi custom, kinda like Chris Reeve knives?
Regular production?
Or something else?

This Blackjack lockback "Yukon Skinner" made in Seki, Japan, is the biggest folder in my collection at 4-5/16" closed---which is just slightly bigger than a Case 54 Trapper, but this knife is much heavier and thicker. It's a very sturdy, solid, well-built knife.

May as well show this flock/herd in this thread as well.
In addition to the variety of stag covers, it's interesting to note the differences of the Mini Trappers' top bolster size & shield orientation.

Re: Lets see some stag
Gary, your red stag has great appeal. I don't see much stag presented like that.
