That’s awesome Cuz. The CASE 18 pattern is a real dandy.

I got bombed!
I’m pretty sure I know from who, although the state wasn’t the one I expected. If it was this fellow, he asked for privacy when he asked for my address.

So, the bomb was this tiny fixed blade. It’ll be a good companion to my first little ‘baby’ and perhaps the start of another collection branch.
It’s marked ProCut on the blade. I’m off to find out about it. What a cutie! I’m delighted! ::ds::

Quiet a talented and generous bunch here. Yesterday, out of the blue, my mail lady left a good sized box in my mail box. Much to my surprise and pleasure our own Old Cutler had sent me one of his absolutely fabulous and authentic little duck decoys. Wow, what a pleasant surprise and even bigger Wow what a great little carving. Wonderfully painted. I am both humbled and honored. Thank you Jim for such a personal and awesome bomb. ::shrug:: ::handshake:: ::nod:: ::groove:: ::tu:: ::ds::

Bombs away from Bulgaria!
After the POS roundtable member Eustace decided to bomb the Texas panhandle.
IMG_20190323_174124227.jpg
From the top down - a 1913 Bulgarian silver 1Lev coin for my sharpening table, a P Denev 'tourist' knife, an unmarked knife that I don't know what to call (seen similar but can't remember what they are), and a Herder locking sod buster.
IMG_20190323_173812766.jpg
The Denev has the wickedest punch blade it is a needle pointed solid chunk of steel and has beautiful gray celluloid or acrylic handles. The middle is a friction folder with some type of horn handle, the dots are not painted they're metal, very cool. I've heard that the Herder's had chunky handles but I didn't know they were that thick, it is a solid handful.

Prehaps the first tang stamp picture of a P Denev knife on AAPK. I love them all but it's really cool to have a Bulgarian knife in my collection now.

Thank you Eustace.

OC all the family was over for lunch the other day and nothing but compliments and interest in the little mallard. The only two things I am allowed in our china cabinet is a knife my sweet wife bought for me and that little duck. Thanks again. ::handshake::

Trace, this knife is also Bulgarian. The model has been produced by several generations of craftsmen in a small village Kostenets. Make them three sizes with dark handles made of buffalo or light rams horn. The last master who made them died last year.
