The story goes that this Case was saved by Dale and passed to me through the Jarhead network by way of Mike (313 Mike). 3-5/8" closed the snap is loud and sharp. Added to that is some historic stag handles that originally came from the Henckels factory. I just now slipped it into my pocket. Thank you Mike and by extension Dale. She's a slick motor scooter.

I came home from a short trip to find an incredible drop from Steve Warden!! I love smaller knives (pens, peanuts, executive lockbacks, etc) and this unbelievable gift is now the centerpiece of my collection!!

From XX Case XX. The bomb really exploded when I saw the Case!
First up, a Rough Rider stockman. Mike must have known I've been watching the Rough Rider thread and wondering about them. F&F is great. No wobble, good walk and talk. A sturdy one, it is! :D
20180321_090142.jpg
Next, a couple of Bucks. Can't go wrong with a Buck. It is, after all, a Buck. Both will certainly get their time in the pocket. (Though I will confess that as a stockman guy, one will get more carry than the other  )

This Case, a 2007 5318, just may be my first Safe Queen. We'll see how long that lasts!

I can't thank you enough, buddy! ::handshake::

I was bombed by QTCut5 today! Apparently Q thinks I have been far too successful in my cheap knife ebay mining expeditions...

He included a little thingamabob on a key chain, and to be honest I'm not sure what that is - maybe a fire starter? It is filled with something that smells like lighter fluid or kerosene, and there is a small strip of something on the side that might be the striker strip. However, if it is a lighter, I can't figure out how it works and I've never seen a fire starter filled with lighter fluid, so I could be all wet (literally)! So - what is it?

Cool bomb, and intriguing little doo-hickey.
I'm curious as to its purpose as well . . .

Chris, that doo-hickey might be some sort of a sharpening device, maybe? ::hmm::

Some call it a survival match. The little screw-in shaft unscrews, and has a tip on it that can strike the ferro groove. The cotton is soaked in lighter fluid, and will light like a match. See here...

Cool! I will have to see if I can get it to spark when I get back from my trip. I also have a ferro rod that I keep in my car just in case of a zombie apocalypse, alien invasion or (more likely) a 9.0 California earthquake.
