I purchased some great knives from Roland (aka Kootenay Joe) and when I opened the box today he bombed me with this vintage 3" MOP beauty! Tang stamp is WILH WAGNER over MERSCHEID over SOLINGEN and the master has the Wagner nested Ws logo on the back. Fantastic condition with great snap and half stops.

Well, I went out to check the mailbox today & received a new year day BOMB from XXCASEXX. I only gave Mike some advice on the Lansky sharpening system & he sent me a gorgeous medium Case stockman with real stag sides. I have alot of Case's, but would never pony up for REAL stag ... now I see what I was missing - it is such a nice knife & will get alot of carry.

This sweet little Barlow was dropped on me by a fellow blade fan who is so altruistic they don't want to be named. Ok, least I can do is honor that. But I'm shaken to the core, jolted out of normal mundane reality by the thought and decency of those like that, and those on this thread and wish to express the gratitude and acknowledgement to every bomber, especially those who dropped something on me, who wish to remain unnamed, who were thinking of others before themselves. Cool little knife, great curves, great bones the pictures don't even begin to capture. It's like agate, very pretty, looks like beautiful stone. And of course the scrimshaw. A first for my pile. And I like how it's subtle and understated scrimshaw. Like a hidden picture or subliminal image. Initialed G.O. Must have been George Orwell, maybe 1984-ish. Very cool. And of course I love all antler and ivory bearing animals more than other animals so this was very thoughtful, very cool and unexpected. Thanks to the bomber, and all bombers, and I hope you all get bombed back to the @#$%^&! stone age with this kind of bomb.

A package arrived today and I went ....who's that? Doesn't feel like a knife or knives....then this.

An unexpected parcel from Rockford arrived in my mailbox today. The contents were gentleman's items (see below) including a beautiful Keystone Series Schatt & Morgan 052 236 Series VIII 1998 Pearl Gunstock from 1998 and a powerful little flashlight - battery included. The knife has very nice pearl with good depth and fire. My lighting and resulting photos do not do justice to the pearl. Fit and finish is outstanding and walk and talk is very good with authoritative snap and half-stops on both blades. It's a super nice knife.

The result is this very interesting Beretta in today's mail. It's certainly different but ya know what? I like it and ya ain't gettin' it back. So there.
This is a frame lock Beretta BE580 Sport Knife by Maserin. It has a certain "je ne sais quoi" which just fascinates the heck out of me. Thanks ~Q~. You didn't have to do this ya knucklehead but I certainly appreciate it.

I'm glad you like it, jerryd. I got one for myself and was also quite intrigued with it; I had a feeling you might be as well. The construction is top shelf and, at only $23.00, an unbelievable bargain; a price generally associated with a Pacific Rim knife more so than one of European extraction. I was so happy to find a decent knife that I could afford to give away as gifts I grabbed a bunch.
