Knife Photography
Re: Knife Photography
Very nice photography on these last couple pages and the knives themselves certainly aren't shabby, some real beauties shown here.

Re: Knife Photography
Nice pics jtx and Eustace, I like the backdrops and the knives themselves.
We had a little freezing rain/sleet mix a few mornings ago and I took a moment to lay dow the 2 knives I carried that day on some iced over asphalt and snapped this pic.

sunknife, Well done. A highly original use of asphalt/ice which worked. Very original.
Re: Knife Photography
Thanks Quick Steel. That ice was treacherous, took me 90 minutes to drive to the job site that morning when it had only taken 35 minutes the day before.

To me the knives look like they are floating against the backdrop of a starlight sky.

Great red bones FFF, sweet pic. Love that AAPK Churchill.
Good light for a minute to break up the gloom so snapped the Bullet end. Good shots everyone.

Thats a handsome group of red bone knives Scott and made for a good pic. They are all very nice but that scout knife especially gets my attention.
Great pic of a killer knife I-Man, you captured the beauty of that one. Super detail in the photo, shows off the beautiful smooth bone and gives a hint of the patina on the blade beneath.

Daniel Koster Bushcrafter knife.
Doesn't look anything like that anymore but it's sharp, mirror polished true scandi grind and hair whittlin' sharp.

Re: Knife Photography
Zach, nice Knife and nice picture to be able to evaluate the knife. All parts of the knife are in focus and the exposure is showing true color.
Re: Knife Photography
Very interesting steel - laminate K390 and N690Co. Handles - stabilized mammoth tooth.
Re: Knife Photography
Nice shot of a beauty of a knife Eustace. Sweet Damascus and Mammoth. Great combination.

As usual this thread is filled with eye-candy! Every time I check in here I get an eye full.
Here's another photo I shot for the canoe thread that I think turned out pretty good.

Re: Knife Photography
Placed a couple knives on the cover of a recent edition of American bungalow magazine for this shot. Came out halfway decent I think.

Re: Knife Photography
Picture was made with iPhone around sunset. The boulder is granite with moss/lichen growing on it. The knife is Moki Kronos that was in my pocket.
Re: Knife Photography
Ralph, you're killing it. Faaaaaabbbbbuluuuuuuus shot, the color, the pose, the knife. My gosh, the knife, blue blade. Beauuuuuuuutiful Moki making me drool and think I better give mine some love these days. Great one.
Great shot Sunknife too, I thought it was sitting on the window ledge and the Bird Dog sitting on the bricks until I read what you wrote. Great ones all. How do you like the 56 anyway? Got a single in that sweet micarta coming and can't wait. First micarta knife for me. I looked around and they were all sold out but one, now they're sold out where I nabbed it too. Congrats and keep the great pics coming all. Mmmmmm mmmmmmmm.
