Thanks Mad H and Quick Steel. It's a magazine cover in the background and I think the hazy air the photographer captured in the canyon lends a somewhat surreal feel to the composition.

Some very beautiful and creative photos being posted. MH and sunknife, outstanding show!!! ::tu::

Here's one that I just acquired. This pic is for my records, again for display more than creative photography. I'm getting close to having more time to get creative but I ain't there yet! I'll be getting tired all over again within the next year or so (retired). ::rotflol::

Quicksilver, I'm very partial to the old Schrade Scrimshaw knives. Especially the 152s but I like 'em all. That section of my collection has been needing some attention and since Case seems to be neglecting the canoe pattern in their new offerings I've been on a bit of a Schrade USA search.

Royal, that's a fine Queen ya got there! Great pic too!!! ::tu::

Thanks sunknife....I'll grab my favorite rod and meet ya at the fishin' hole! ::super_happy::

Charlie, Just the other night I missed out on getting a Schrade with a dog and duck scrim. If you already have that one, feel free to gloat. :) Or if you come across one and you do not want it please send me a PM alerting me. Or if you do want it and get it, again feel free to gloat. I will congratulate you and bite my tongue.

I'll keep an eye peeled for it, Quicksilver. I don't mind at all. I can't buy all of the ones I want at once so I have no problem giving a fellow collector a heads up. I don't have that one yet but it's not real high on my wanted list. The one at the top of my list is called "The Trapper" and it was packaged in a wooden box. The scrimshaw is a depiction of a trapper/mountain man on horseback with rifle leading a pack horse. If you happen to see one in your knife searches (and you don't grab it for yourself), I'd appreciate a heads up. ::super_happy::

Squatch, I'll certainly keep that one in mind. By the way, you want to stay away from that QuickSilver fellow. I think he has been stealing my identity.] Garry [aka QuickSteel.] :)

Messing around with different poses on this S&M I've been carrying for a few days. I like the bones in this light.

That is some very attractive elk stag for sure TripleF.
Very nice shots of your knife Ivoryman, the color and texture of that bone really pop in the pic.
Nice combo of the three different woods in your composition superatentorial.

Colonial made a lot of the advertisers and they made a lot of Coke knives. They weren't the only ones who made them, they were made in Germany, China and a few other US manufacturers. My Father in Law worked for Coke and we have some older Coke collectibles but the knives were always my favorite. :)

I really like the Scout knife and Scout book, Jtx - very evocative photo!

Scott, a scar is a memory that never fades! Elk on weathered wood is pretty nice.

That Maher and Grosh with the patina and weathered wood is well composed, Supratentorial.

Nice Coke knives and dominoes, MH.

Ivoryman - very fine S&M.
