Great looking knives from everyone. I always enjoy seeing what others are collecting or using.

Blue patina is like MOP, hard to catch in photos.

You did a good job of it. ::tu:: One of my Boker copperheads is developing a nice deep blue patina like that on the skinner blade. I love the way it looks, and it wasn't even forced (though it might have been laziness, as I am known to set the knife aside after chopping up an apple or banana and high-carbon steel doesn't need long to turn colors).

Thanks, yeah I like blue too. What do you cut that gives you blue? I cut up some red grapes last week with a 25 EZ open and stumbled onto the blue patina it leaves. Liked it so much I did it with this 14 too. Might use it on some others too. Makes it easier to pinch open too. Didn't expect that.

The Boker was used to cut Fuji apples, an orange or two, and I think even a large potato wedge the day I noticed the deeper blue on the blade. It's hard to say exactly what caused it but I suspect a combination of the acids and whatever chemical paste in the potato.

Oddly enough I can't get GEC's 1095 to go blue no matter what I use them to cut. ::shrug::

Good to know, thanks for the tips Bomba. I will try some orange and potato and see what they do. Love the blues. My GECs are turning blue with the red grape juice though, might try it if you like the blue. I heard pineapple would do it too, but didn't work on mine, only red grape so far and a little from a Honey Crisp apple.
Thanks Dinadan, appreciate it.

Here's a shot that I thought turned out better than a lot of the crappy pictures I shoot.

That's a great shot Philco. I think it turned out fine.

TripleF, that shot looks like a really peaceful setting. Outdoor knife photography is my favorite.

Shot this photo a couple days ago. Wood handle knives and hatchets, ebony, rosewood and one knife in bloodwood. The medium sized hatchet has a osage handle, refurbished Collins head and tooled leather sheath all done by a friend who let me have it in a trade. The small belt hatchet is a Lee Reeves gifted to me by a hunting buddy 20 yrs. ago. The large hatchet is a single bevel Biber that I got as gift from my wife, used to reduce large bow staves quickly.

Nice outdoor pic TripleF, love the handle on that knife.

That redbone whittler you have is my dream knife Gino but that axe is o so sweet as well. If I had to choose one or the other I'm not sure I could.
