Sun shine pretty rare for you right now I've heard. Nice knife. My son lives in Des Moines.Ivoryman wrote:These bones in the sun, mmmmmmmmm-mmm.

Re: Knife Photography
Been lucky Doglegg, we've seen the sun about half the time this week. Rainy season is on the way out fortunately. Des Moines is right on the water, we're inland several miles, makes a difference, but you're right during the winter months. Thanks, an old Ed K Tryon Philadelphia. They don't make them like this anymore.

Sut, sorry to read of your condition. Hang in there, and know we are all thinking of you.
I thought I would share a couple photos of some Tuna Valley knives I managed to get photos of when the snow was briefly melted away. Of course the snow is back again now.

Rookie, The reflective pattern of the branches in the blades is very fine.

Thanks for the reply and information. Visited some ruins in Germany when my son lived there and loved the experience. Re: Knife Photography
Jtx, It would take me too long to explain why I think the composition of your photo is one of the best, perhaps the very best, I have ever encountered here. It has to do primarily with the textures of the three objects progressing from the background wall to the knife to the lock. For me this is a superior photograph.

If I were giving it a title I would called itJtx wrote:My old stockman.
'cocked and locked' great photo.
Re: Knife Photography
Quick Steel, thanks for the kind words. I was just getting ready to unlock that door and thought, maybe it would make a good photo. Honestly I never am sure that a photo will turn out well or not. It is just fun to try different things.Quick Steel wrote:Jtx, It would take me too long to explain why I think the composition of your photo is one of the best, perhaps the very best, I have ever encountered here. Thanks dogleg. I did not think about giving it a title, but I like the one you suggested.doglegg wrote:If I were giving it a title I would called itJtx wrote:My old stockman.
