Further information.
The Camillus equal end is a 75.
The pen knife is also Camillus and has a blade and a fingernail tool.
None of these are shell handle.
The Camillus 75 needed the pivot tightened up.
The little Kabar now has two straight edge blades.
The Case XX small stockman is all ready to go in my watch pocket.
Might take dynamite to blast it out.
Always wanted a Case small stockman. XX makes it special!

Dave the camillus 75 is a nice little jr cattle pattern. I'd like to have a few more of them.

Mineral oil cleaned the Case enough to see 10 dots making it a 1970 if I'm not mistaken.
The Camillus pen knife has a floppy main blade. If I squeeze it it has a lot less movement.
I see no way to fix it. Maybe somebody can?

Find a piece of leather that will wrap around the bolsters, then gently squeeze the bolsters in a vice, (or even in the jaws of vice grips if you don't have a vice). The leather protects the bolsters, but the squeeze action will pinch the bolsters into the blade tightening it up. In extreme cases you can peen the pin over but you would need to re-finish the bolsters if you tried that. Pinching the bolsters like that doesn't work on US-made Schrades, as they attached their blades using the Swindon Key method, Camillus however pinned the blades through the bolsters so squeezing them together sometimes helps. Do it gently but give it a try, it has worked for me most times I've tried it.

On most knives I agree 100%. But this Camillus is very slim and has tip bolsters.
There is no pin end that I can see.

Most of the nail Nick is gone on the Camillus so I don't know that I can fix it. The Case will fix ok and the Kabar will have a short but usable main.

But to me the Case is the crown jewel of the find.

Hey JPD, that NK advertising knife stands for Northup King a seed corn outfit probably made by Imperial?. Looks like a good bunch of "fixer uppers".

No folders but I did find some lures, tackle and a few knives I'm hoping to rehandle!!

This one, with the fork and the spoon, are there any markings? It should be Japanese. I've seen them sell at prices between $ 50 and $ 100.

My bad.....forgot about that hobo knife .....it is indeed stamped JAPAN. It's for sale.

Picked up a couple of new to me knives at a local gun shop yesterday. They were selling off a large collection for an old collector.
Got a Thomas Ellin sportsman knife and a celluloid L.F.&C.

That Kutmaster appears to be in very good condition, especially if there is no wobble. Congrats.

Thanx QS she is nice and tight pull out about a 9,love the 1095 and the sunken joints.Those people in Utica made some nice knives

Some pick ups I made at our local gun show over the weekend.
Camillus 72 in new condition, and a clone of the 72 by Olsen OK. Tang stamp is Olsen OK HC, MI USA 107 Gigantic Camillus 23 short line 4 1/4" jack A couple that need work, Buck 313 muskrat, handles are rough and shield missing. And this one, I have never seen before. Tang stamp is Sterling Service USA. Handles are aluminum, but don't appear to be original. I probably will rehandle in something better looking that aluminum. Kind of a neat pliers on it.

OLDE CUTLER that Olsen is just excellent. It fills my heart with lust.

It is a real nice one I thought. Just a couple of small spots on the blades which will clean up. Close up photo below. I had not seen one before, but had read about some of the clones of the 72 on AAPK. You are the one that "alerted" me to how neat the Camillus 72 is. Do you think the 72 I pictured is one of the last ones made probably before they folded up the tent? Glad I was out of "drooling" range on this pair !! LOL

It's real hard to guess with Camillus but if my feet were held to the fire, I'd probably say it was made in the 1990's or very early 2000's. The very last ones they made had some real goofy stuff done to them. Such as using left over blades from SFO's. Grind off the Stanley tang stamp and etch the Camillus tang stamp in it's place. Replaced the small clip blade with a smaller clip blade and reposition it. Replaced the federal shield with a round shield. Etc, etc.
It seems like they didn't really give a fig as long as they could get product out the door. There was a lot of using up blades in stock that didn't really match the knife it was going into (wrong pattern stamp) Here are some examples.

Jerryd you seemed to have infected a bunch of us with the 72 virus. Now I will have to start watching for those 'frankencamillus' knives.

Somebody unloaded some knives at my fav pawn shop.....

I only collected Schrades, until Jerry gave me that 72 virus. Thanks Jerry, I have some nice knives due to your posts.

Ken, I see you found a factory, in the tube, 863 to slip into your Schrade pile.
