Found this beauty in a pawn shop today. Not familiar with the knife, so I'm not sure if I got a good deal.

Scott, it seems like everytime you go out you come back with not 1 or 2 knives, but with bunches of knives of all types. Way to go, I enjoy opening up AAPK and seeing what you have found.

Oooooh, nice Pal! I seem to have a little sideline in Pal going. I’m always interested in what’s out there. Now I know to look twice at very dark Scouts!

It was kinda comical. This sale had fishing gear, bows and camo clothes so I asked about knives...a young man said he had some but not for garage sale prices. He bought out a small box of knives and I picked through them. $5 for the Camco, $3 for the Ulster and $1 for the Robeson! I didn't argue.

I'm happy ::ds:: ! I'd been out all morning and had nothing to show for it and this sale was about 2 blocks from my house. I wasn't going to stop but I thought what the heck...and I scored. I often wonder how many old knives and guns are stashed out there waiting for someone to discover them?

Made it out to the City Trade Days in Bowie, TX this morning, but by noon it was already blistering hot. I did however get a good deal on a set of knives called Sailor Knives by Cannon, USA; a very very good knife by Colonial, Prov. R.I.; what I call a gentleman's dress knife and a pen knife both by Robeson. The last two I need to do some cleaning, but the others are in perfect display shape.

I like the Gentleman's!

Here is my catch of the day. I went out to the Vancouver Flea Market/Red Barn.
Left to right -
New push button. No name except the little cat logo
Italian Panamex dress knife with file. It’s says ‘Complements of the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix’
Western 242
Camillus dress knife
Richards advertiser ‘The Original Bakewell Pudding Shop’
Henry King &Co Sheffield
Anton Winger Solingen stag lockblade

Not a bad haul. I can’t find anything on the King and the Western is a bit of a mystery too. They’re mostly HOK’s of course.
I like ‘em! I paid $10 for the new push button, $5 each for the Western, Richards, King and Winger and it would have been $2 for the Camillus with the Panamex thrown in, but I gave the seller another toonie for it.

You nailed it Dave, Scott, and Byrd ::tu::
Went in to Regina, SK yesterday for shopping, checked out the pawn shops, picked up a new amp from a guy, ect. Well my brother and dad went along to go to look at guns. Low and behold in the knife case was a new old stock Richards Sheffield England 3 blade camp king! :D ::ds::
Even better,
He was asking $25 but knocked it down to $18 because i also picked up a outback hat that i have been looking for since i was a kid, for $33.
Double Score!
::ds::
The hat is a bit like a outback but a little fishing/cowboy also, and realtree camo to top it off.
The Richards is a blue tortoise shell with bail. It does have a couple of small issues. Back side shell was misaligned from factory. And has some grind issues.
Both easily fixable. Retab scale. Resharpen blade. All in all great Richard.
Amp is a New Marshall 30 watt beast. Really good sound for a solid state. About 1-2 years old. Lightly played. Same as the new $500 model but got this one for $180. Another score!
Only issue,
Overdrive 1 and 2 are so bloody loud! Even just the slightest volume she blows way to loud for in the house. Clean and crunch are perfect! Reverb is very nice for digital. Can't beat a four channel Marshall at $180. No other amp even comes close at this price, bar none!
Yesterday was a great day for sure! Including the weather! Finally got some nice rain! Crops and pasture saved! ::ds::

Interesting group there zoo. It is hard to find knives at flea markets, etc. here in B.C. The only ones i have seen here in the West Kootenays are old China knives from when China was making poor quality knives.

Here’s the little guys that followed me home today.
The gold coloured gentleman’s knife has no name. It cleaned up real nice. For four bucks, I don’t think I did too bad.
The Schrade 834 is the one I left behind last month. I thought I’d missed it because when I found the guy, it wasn’t in sight. I looked again when I passed by on my way out and there it was! He’d left some in the box and put them out after my first visit. Yay!
The rest are all Richards. Part of the fun of hunting Rickys is that you never know what will turn out to be one. I’ve found ‘em in all colours and configurations. The scales are really varied too.
I think I must have just about all the Mounties now. Next up I’ll try to fill in the Queen’s Coronation knives.
