WOW, that is great Scott !!!

Next month I'm meeting up with my brother in Gladewater, TX where there are over a dozen
antique stores and junk shops. I hope I have some of your luck there Scott. ::tu::

There is also a knife store in Gladewater.
My daughter lives there, and we went downtown shopping in the antique stores and the knife store this past December, when we last visited her.
I didn't get to hit all of the stores, as the family was getting worn out, but I did score 3 used knives at the knife store. They have some "markdown" baskets in the back that occasionally have something good in them.

I stopped at a rummage sale this morning and found the little Gerber for 50 cents, and hit a gun show tonight and picked up the lightly used Western 532 D with the deer etch for $50.____Dave

Went to see a man about a knife this afternoon and here is what I came home with.
Now tomorrow I've got to give the little darlings a bath and a little sprucing up.... :D

Not where I live but some of the higher elevations and passes have had snow. The mountains of course are white from about 3000 ft up.
In the Fairbanks area most of the leaves are of the trees and it has been dropping down around 30* at night.

Nice finds!

Fiskars/Normark fixed blade knives that are not fillet knives are very hard to find. I recently found a Fiskars 5" blade Puukko for $20 (which the seller had listed as just a "Fiskars Knife"); and people tend to ask a lot more than that.

I inherited an identical Gerber from my great-uncle. After trying all kinds of lightweight folders in various sizes, steels, and prices, it's still my favorite. I think Gerber used 440C on these, but I'm not sure.

Picked these up at a gun show today; A Case 1999 exchanger in stag in near mint etched all 4 blades with Morton Building safety award with case, an Old Timer whittling knife new in package, and a very nice theater knife all for $130. Then we drove a few miles farther to my brother's home where he offered me the old Mossberg and son's 22 Model 342KA that we hunted with when we were kids. He bought a new Henry lever action and said he didn't need the old one anymore. No, I don't understand not needing another gun either, but I didn't want to judge him or argue with him. I can always use one more.____Dave
