My wife came home from a stop at an estate sale with a big surprise - two knives! The first is an MoP Queen stockman from 1958-60. It is in pretty bad shape, but the blades still snap and it was clearly owned by someone that used their knife! The second is a new brand for me. It is stamped "Royal Brand, USA" on the primary tang, and the secondary has "S." on the tang. My search says Royal Brands were imported by someone named Samuel E. Bernstein and sold at Woolworths. They disappeared in the 1950s, so it's probably at least that old. It's not a very well made knife - it is very light and the blade and handles are quite thin. It's a single spring with thin brass liners.

Do you think the "S." was a personal engraving and not from the factory?

I noticed that you both have a knife (Schrade) with the same shield. Does the shield say Copenhagen?

I managed to get another one of these ultra fine gec 81 stockmans. Still have a long way to go to have a minty one of each version, they sure are hard to find.

Not a dipper but unusual that two should show up in a row, and nice little knives. That case caught my eye too.

Yep, 2 different styles and both are Copenhagen. I ONCE thought there was only ONE Copenhagen knife.... but noooooooo , they had to send me off on a hunt for each of the DIFFERENT Copenhagen shield knives. (I have seen 5 or 6 or more)
LOL... yep, that is part of the fun with this hobby.... always something else to chase.

Been busy with a car project and buying GEC's. Seems I've caught the GEC bug.....AGAIN!
I shouldn't have sold all those rare GEC a few years back. ::facepalm::

PS....The Churchill is my EDC. It's probably the best EDC I've used in years. Perfect size at 3 3/4" and the blade set up is just what I need. A clip main and a sheepfoot secondary.
