A report on the Frost Steel Warrior split spring whittler.
It rolled the edge a bit out by the tip.
But that isn't so different from a USA knife in the same use.
Next I will find out how easy it is to fix the edge.

Further report. A Klein Tools 44151 steel fixed the blade easily. Makes me think I need to stone a different edge on the one I work on floors with.

My grandmother lived in Malden. Used to go there often to visit! Lamberts is one of my favorites. Good country food and plenty of it!

I love how those broad Case carbon clip blades sharpen down over the years. I have a ten-dot Barlow with that exact profile, and it is so thin and slicy it is one of my favorite cutters overall. Is yours brown bone or Delrin? The uniformity of the jigging makes me think the latter but I can't be sure.garddogg56 wrote:35 1/2 1 dot for me today

Not the best picture. But I picked out some of the broken glass and the camera is working.
Like I said 3.5 inches long sort of like a Camillus 72. Semi stag looking.

For what I reckon will be a slow no stress type day this Frost stockman.
It doesn't say Steel Warrior anywhere on it.
Not much of a picture but it's all I got.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
All three of the Stockmen I bought Thursday evening.
Even though it's a big thing I like the Crowing Rooster for the scales and the overall look.
I may actually carry the Steel Warrior stockman.
I was taken with the scales on this one.
And that spey blade might make a real nice gum and tape remover.
The Frost stockman has a bad tendency to swap places of the two smaller blades.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Just re-handled this Bark River Huntsman (I picked it up with a chipped handle) Now it has West Australian Desert Iron Wood, new brass guard and pins. At just under 7 inches I reckon it qualifies as a 'Pocket Knife' ... I'm going to team this with a vintage Camillus Camp Knife and carry it this week.
