It was kind of feeling in a nostalgic mood today so I carried three knives that I have customized or repaired.
The top knife is an Old Timers; 123OT that I customized about 10 years or so ago. The stag was some that came from the Henckel factory in the file work was just a variation on an arrowhead pattern.
The middle knife is and M Klein & Sons electrician knife with a short blade added from a three bladed the electrician’s knife. The red and white bone are glued and pinned and the white spacer material is only glued in. The entire knife was an experiment in different facets of knife modifying, from the handles to the pattern on the bolster to the Eagle filed into the back springs. I have made much nicer versions of this knife but this is still my favorite as is the first one I did. This one was probably done 10 or 11 years ago.
The little Gerber FS I just needed the cracked and splitting rosewood replaced in the handle. I replaced it with water buffalo horn. I like the Gerber FS patterns and have two or three of them I carry from time to time.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
