If anybody recalls my very first post where I said that I had moved past big single blade lockers in favor of more compact and versatile multi blade jobs, clearly I lied. ::shrug:: I’ve had a 110 at my side for too many years at this point. Now I just feel naked without one. So it’s my finger grooved 110 and my GEC 86 on the job today.

If I remember my history correctly. Today is the day in 1215 that King John put his seal on the Magna Carta. So I decided to carry the only two Sheffield knives I have. A Wright and Son Lambfoot and a Thomas Turner Pruner.

I love the crack in the handle on that Barlow. Gives it great character, makes it look experienced :)

Thank you Willie. The bone on the other side has the same feature. I believe the outside of the bone is next to the liner & what is exposed is the inside of the bone that was next to the marrow. Here's a shot of the other side & the end. Notice the crack isn't deep in the bone. I call it the pith although there may be a better term. I've seen it more on Barlows perhaps because the bone is thick & hafting doesn't remove the entire pith on the thick end. If it's centered & both scales match relatively well, it looks fine to me. It does add something.
