I bought this 4 1/4" "Ontario RAT" stockman when it was first released, 2007 ? This along with the "RAT 3" fixed blade were the first 2 knives made for Randall Adventure Training. I sold my RAT 3 and now regret it. Both have D2 steel and the blade grind on the stockman is rather thick so i thinned the edge 'shoulders' to give a more acute edge angle. Just came across it a few days ago and decided it is now time to carry it. It is a beefy knife.

I really like that Voos. I’m going to talk with a financial advisor & see if I can have one, too.

This Cold Steel Scimitar has long been a favorite of mine in the tactical genre. Will carry it today in case I must defend myself against some aggressive tomatoes.

It's a real beauty and deserves to be carried. Any chance you have a Queen #49 to compare? Looks like the same frame and clip/sheepsfoot blades, and Queen ran a few Ontario-branded folders knives in their time.

Great photo, great knife! ::tu::

You might be surprised. I bought a very clean one for under $45 and my other two users combined didn't top out over $60. I think the Voos Rogers bone jack is undervalued.

There's a reason that USA-era Case is called "pretty bone." :shock:

Happy Stagurday everyone!

Great choices! I am a 3xKC (three knife carrier myself). I just found a used Kutmaster stockman knife just like the one in the photo Last weekend at an antique show. I need to put an edge on it before it goes on my belt. It feels like a good quality knife.

Tsar B, i don't have a Queen #49 but this "Ontario RAT" stockman was made in the Queen factory about 2007 so it likely is an SFO version of the #49.
