Thanks guys. The knife was actually made by Arthur Wright & Son, but it’s marketed and sold by Oakedge. The tang stamp reads “Sheffield Handmade England”.

geo, nice wood on your Queen. I am drooling just a little over your Colonel Coon Barlow. Simple, but very clean, very good looking.

Thank you, sir. I think I got some good light for the wood on both knives. Can't beat good luck.

A Case 25 1/2 small Coke bottle. I've had it a long time and it sat in a box with a bunch of others I'd gotten from dad, has surface rust and even a couple spots of light pitting. Was going to send it to Case for them to restore but instead have started a cleanup of it and carrying it around may put some polish to it as well. Useful little blades, no date stamps that I can tell just Case XX USA on the opposite side of the pattern number.

At the top of the page you will find "Research". A great place to find out more about Case stamps. I have added the direct link to the "stamp section" below. ::tu:: Or post a picture of your stamp and someone here can help you figure out the general time frame of production. ::tu:: The folks here are always glad to help. ::nod:: Have a great weekend! ::handshake::

I had looked at that, the USA on mine does not have periods after each letter but there is a single dot indicating 1979 if lettering without periods is normal for these knives. Also putting the lie to me saying there aren't date stampings, I suppose!

For a short time I carried a nice black bone handle Sowbelly but it's a little big so I hung a Spyderco with an integral clip on my pocket edge for the past dozen years or so. Nice to have a little Case folder now, even if it's not stainless.

::tu:: ::tu:: Really like that Queen City! ::nod:: ::super_happy::

My home town Cumberland, Maryland was at one time the second most important city in MD right after Balitimore, MD and thus it was nicknamed the "Queen City". So some day I hope to add a knife or two to my collection with a "Queen City" stamp on it to remind me of Cumberland. ::nod:: ::tu:: :D

::hmm:: Guess I have said this before so just ignore me.

Toting this old Boker USA cattle knive today. It had old shrinks dink handles and a loose pen blade. But Glenn fixed it up good as new with some pretty bone and an awesome shield.
