What penknife is that so I can look it up? I like how the blade stretches almost to the full length of the handle.
What barlow is that and what wood? My guess is cocobolo.
Is that thumbstud a Buck option?
Nice alround selection! ::tu::

well since there’s about a month worth of chores that need doing here on farm I figured I ought to tote a good helper. Sink slipped this ol thang in the pocket of my overall britches.

The smallest knife is a R. Klaas (Kissing Crane) sleeveboard. The master spear is surprisingly long for the size of the knife, as you noticed, and the carbon steel takes an amazing edge. I regularly carry this knife (the master has the beginnings of patina on it). I haven't seen another like it.

The Barlow is the new #77 Northfield with Desert Ironwood handles. So far, I've seen three different #77s in Desert Ironwood and the grain has been vastly different on all three. I really like what GEC did with this knife.

The thumb stud on the 112/450 "mutie" Buck is a bolt-on product called a Kwik-Stud. It screws on using a 416 steel inset screw (comes with the allen key needed, if you don't have it) and fits on almost any large lockback, folding hunter, or any folder blade of that rough thickness. I also have a newer 110 with the same stud on it. I bought it on eBay if I remember correctly, back when I would use it more regularly, but you can find them at other retailers online or in stores. Amazon seems to have all the variations at around $8 each.

I went with the Bull Moose and the S&M Barlow again yesterday and today so no photos. :mrgreen:

Many thanks, I obviously recognized quality knives even before I knew what they were. (picture duly saved to my album)
I may not be able to match the knives but I can still have some fun posting my own version of the picture :)

OK. So to me it is not strange to take the knife and use it for cutting prime rib but my wife thinks it is a bit odd. Does anyone else have this conundrum?

::dang:: The ::dang:: pictures came out ::facepalm:: upside down again ::disgust:: and I'm too ::dang:: lazy to lay them all out again :roll: .
Not all EDCs but definitely all FAVs and inspired by tsar bomba's picture. My tarnished Ranger, Orvet's four-line cattleman and a new bought Boker.

A variation, Puma, recon stone Case pen and lignum vitae Schlieper.

(so far no ironwood on my folders)

Very cool pic, Edgewise! ::tu:: Not a bad folder among them. The bone on the Barlow is great, I dig that Puma, and that wooden Schlieper soddie is fantastic. Is the stone-handled Case a #33?

The #77 is my first ironwood knife but most assuredly not my last.
