Thanks Iman and Tom! I have a toothache so I'm gonna thank you guys together so I can go lie down. I think ~Q~ made a conscious decision to make it a big knife before he decided what he'd send me Tom, cuz this one is a monster! After reading some of the comments in this thread I too am not surprised that ~Q~ bombed off another knife to someone Iman, he is one generous dude! Thx again guys! 8)

I just got bombed by Scott with a knife that I know nothing about, and while I was typing this I saw an etch on the blade that appears to say "Toledo". He also sent a couple of nice key rings. Thank you Scott. I appreciate this and your friendship.____Dave

Always great to see folks getting bombed! ::uc:: Only AAPK understands. ::tu::
I was in the path of a nice little missile today, a Queen #9125 Muskrat. It came from the great state of Texas and was fired off by none other than Paladin. (I liked that TV program as a kid, Have Gun, Will Travel.) Ray got me where it counts, a very nice muskrat for the fine finish work on our venison.
Thank you again, Ray! ::handshake::

Hello friends,

Got a package from Mom the other day. It included 9 pocket knives, two license plates, three boxes of Pop--Tarts, Peanut Butter Candy, Velveeta Cheese, and some Ranch powder packages. Wanted to thank some people here in this thread. Some of these things were "Bombs", & some were not but I know no other thread that is better for sharing and showing thanks so I will show them here. :wink:

First off, just a few group pictures before I go into more details. ::tu::

Dave,
That is a cool looking little knife, I was eyeballing it when Scott posted it as part of the group of his recent acquisitions. I looked it up, and all I could find was that it was manufactured in Spain. The blade etch would likely confirm that. I'd love to see a few more pics of it if you get the chance. Congrats either way!

The second plate was gifted to me from our very own Steve Warden. This "Pabst Blue Ribbon" shield was on his first car. A 1967 Pontiac Le Mons nicknamed "The Beast". ::nod:: Steve also threw in a very cool Buck Moose with beautiful wooden handles. Great size! Great pattern! My first of this pattern. This will be a great EDC & has been in my pocket all day today. Will be there all week as well. ::nod:: On Top of the plate and the Buck, he also sent my Mom some money and asked her to buy & send me some Pop--Tarts. ::super_happy::

Thank you very much Steve! I had some Pop--Tarts for breakfast. I'll be carrying my new Buck this week. And I'll get these plates mounted to the wall as soon as I can. ::nod:: ::super_happy:: Thanks Buddy! ::handshake::
I appreciate your generosity! ::nod:: ::tu::

Next up, I have a couple of pen knives I'd like to show you all. These are the first KA-BAR knives to join me here in Germany. I purchased the small black ( late 50's - 60's ) Ka-bar from Bryan (Whitneyrifle) & he threw in the Blue Bomb saying "You can't have just one Ka-bar". :lol: ::tu:: It's a Union Cut. Co. stamped knife so it is even older than the one I bought from him. I don't know what the handles are made of. Looks like wood. Whatever it is, they look awesome! ::nod:: They are both sweet additions to my collection. I'm always tickled pink whenever I get an American brand that I don't have yet. ::nod:: And although I should showcase them, I think I'd like to add them to my EDC rotation. ::paranoid:: ::super_happy::

Thank you very much Bryan for hooking me up with two more beautiful pieces of American Cutlery History.
I do appreciate it Buddy! ::nod:: ::handshake::

And last but not least, I also recived the custom Buck 503 Prince with Elk Horn Covers that I won from Randy (Rdubya21) in the AAPK Giveaway back in April. It has been a veeeery long wait but it was worth the wait. A truely gorgeous :shock: piece of American Cutlery! ::nod:: My pictures don't do it any justice at all really. It's very, very nice! The handles are sooo Sweeeeeeet! ::nod:: ::tu::

Thank you very much for your generosity Randy! ::handshake:: I love it! ::nod:: ::super_happy::

When I saw it on line, I thought it looked like it had stag scales, so I asked Scott about it. He said you had also asked about it and told me the scales were wood. I tried looking it up in my reference books and found nothing. I didn't try on line until I had it in hand. I asked Scott if you had bought it and he said no. When I asked him what he was asking for it, he said he was pretty busy with holiday stuff and would message me after the holiday when he had more time. I'll try to get better pictures of it when picture taking conditions are right. I have a lousy camera for close-ups. ____Dave

Congratulations Jerry, it's beautiful! ::tu:: The coloring is outstanding! I too am in amazement at the generosity of some of our members, we are very lucky! I just saw on Ebay the "Blade Forums" annual knife, I guess it's their equivalent of our yearly knife, but it was a US$1,500. GEC! ::facepalm:: They're trying to be the best forum on the net by attempting to sway folks their way by showing off their generosity with an expensive knife, but sadly they'll never even be close to what we have here! JMHO! 8)
