Blood knife!

All You Need Is Blood! :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDQtIjGQGPM

The knife is 20.5 cm/8 inch long.
The blade is 10 cm/4 inch long, 2.6 cm/1 inch wide and 3 mm/0.11 inch thick. It is a san mai with a hundred layers and 5160 steel core.
I have made the handle of textured bronze and padouk (that is the woods own color!)

Hmm... have no idea where it lives. It is somewhat similar to work as beech wood, and it is just as hard. It doesn't splinter at all and it has a really nice smell when you sand it :D
But the best thing about it is, that is naturally waterproof! They use it for making walk paths around pools, because it will not rot.

Knife and sheath both are fantastic. Very well done.

That really is a great looking knife! I have turned some pens from padauk (spelling of this name varies), and when freshly cut or turned, it has an orange color. After it ages and oxidizes, it turns a dark red to maroon color. It is some really neat stuff.
