medieval padlock

Post by hellize »

Greetings!

Today I have a working medieval padlock freshly made for you, with a forged all steel construction. It is 8 cm long, 4.5 cm wide and 1.5 cm thick.
A small video demonstrating its operation:

Most intriguing.
Will you use it to secure the fantastic knives you build?
:)
Chris
i woke last night to the sound of thunder
how far off i sat and wondered
started humming a song from nineteen sixty two
aint it funny how the night moves

Glad you like it! :)
I have made an iron strongbox and an oak treasure chest in the past, but I chickened out of the padlock project till this day. It always seemed overwhelmingly complicated to me. But I couldn't resist anymore, and had to try it. :D

Csizmar, I have already seen too much of your stuff to be amazed cause you only turn out fabulous stuff. But the lock is amazing. And a perfect fit to your beautiful boxes, especially the oak one. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::ds::

You are spoiling me, Sir! :) ::super_happy::
The oaken one upon completion was immediately pirated away by my kid, the precious content is his treasure.

I am just a humble amateur in the craft with quite persistent limits, but thank you very much for the compliment! :)
